When Pacino burst into the room brandishing his machine gun and shouting "Say hello to my little friend" I fell even more in love with him. That scene remains my fantasy of how to handle all the asshats and douches in my world.
On a far more peaceful level ...
This is my little friend Raoul. He walks up and down the driveway or back and forth along the curb stone whenever I bring out the trash or stumble over to get the mail. Everyone laughs and tells me it could not possibly be the same bird. No one believes but my granddaughter Hope. Hope believes me.
If I hurry into the side door Raoul will peek at me for a moment and then take off to join his family in the tree down the road.

Yep, been in love with Pacino for a lot of years and I also love your bird friend! Hope your week is going well. Hugs to Hope and to you.
ReplyDeleteOf course it is the same bird. His name is Raoul after all. I can tell by the picture. and if Hope believes you that is all we need for verification. Hugz to you both.
ReplyDeleteI believe you, too, my dear....We know our Bird Friends---And he is a GREAT Beauty!
ReplyDeleteHUGS (((((((((HUGS))))))))) to You And Hope!!!!
I believe you, Dianne.
ReplyDeleteBirds are individuals, and no two will have precisely the same behaviors unless they are instinctive ones, for the care and feeding of the species.
Raoul seems to have taken a liking to you (or perhaps you and Hope) and has developed his own behaviors as a result.
Hugs to you and Hope, and hi to Raoul.
K
He is certainly your little friend and he looks for you as much as you look for him.
ReplyDeleteI read this wonderful book called "The Bluebird Effect: Uncommon Bonds with Common Birds." You would be reassured that you and Raoul have an uncommon bond. :-)
ReplyDeleteSame behavior, same bird.
ReplyDeleteHope believes you, and I believe you and others, too. Raoul is your bird friend. It's the truth.
ReplyDeleteNice photo.
I believe in Raoul!
