But hair -this post just reminded me of how, way back when I had a job I loved (well over 35 years ago)on days like I've had over this weekend (head cold misery) I would call over to the salon across the street from the office, schedule an appointment with the guy I usually saw there and go get my hair done. Now THAT can really be a picker-upper when you have a whiz-bang cold/sinus infection - just cures everything for at least an hour or two, ya know. Great post though. I do have a friend here who usually cuts/perms my hair when I break down and get it done and she and I always get into some wild and wacky conversations and gossip as well about a little bit of everything.Jenihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16425701332785470116noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4797176281269170321.post-17621503780384422972007-12-31T09:31:00.000-05:002007-12-31T09:31:00.000-05:00"But I feel like there is a switch that turns some..."But I feel like there is a switch that turns something off when a man comes in"

that's a great way of describing it Jay, that's exactly what happens - unless the man is a husband or son to staff or customer, then he's tormented by overly familiar women LOL - my son came to pick me up once and refused to come in and meet "the women who I'm sure know far too much about me"

kenju - your nails are a small sacrifice to the amazing art that your flower arrangements are but I know what you mean - I open lots of boxes and handle tons of questionnaires and my hands are always dry and cut up.Diannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02946500110072411468noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4797176281269170321.post-72741721124266868702007-12-30T21:52:00.000-05:002007-12-30T21:52:00.000-05:00I get my hairs cut in a salon but I don't get anyt...I get my hairs cut in a salon but I don't get anything else done. But I always like the feeling when I go there. But I feel like there is a switch that turns something off when a man comes in and they have more fun after I leave.

Thanks for showing me some of it. After that, I'll get a manicure/pedicure. My flower business keeps my hands looking like someone who digs in concrete for a living - so I always need a manicure. I always hesitate to do all of this - but I am always so happy afterward!kenjuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07342414519714356343noreply@blogger.com
