Saturday Wordzzle

Here are my Saturday Wordzzle offerings. I felt like being a little silly this time, hope it comes across that way. I'm posting a bit early - I have to work both days this weekend and I'm feeding a horde of family and friends Saturday night to celebrate Easter and my baby bro's birthday.

To play along and to see other Wordzzle puzzler offerings (how fancy!) check out –Raven’s Nest

This week’s words are:
horse shoe, antique chest, marigold, lunatic, science fiction, Oregon, previously, 10 billion, google, tree hugger

“Mama is gonna kill you if you ruin that antique chest” Sally told her big sister Sue. “Really!” Sue snarled back, “she’s gonna kill me! that’ll be just fine with me, then I won’t have to live in Oregon anymore with 10 billion tree huggers”. Sally rolled her eyes at her sister and looked at her as though she were a lunatic right out of a bad science fiction movie. “There aren’t 10 billion people in the whole country, let alone Oregon! Why don’t you google it and see for yourself”. “Oh google this” Sue shot back using her middle finger, “you’re so perfect it makes me crazy. I could throw this old horse shoe at your head and they’d never find your body up here. Years from now people would say the previously owners lost a daughter in a terrible horse shoe accident”. “Shows how much you know” Sally cried, looking around the attic nervously, Sue scared her sometimes but she never backed down. “It’s not previously owners, it is previous owners and you wouldn’t hurt me anyway, at least not until I finish helping you match the marigold color to hide all the scratches you made”. Sue smiled at this, “true little sis, true – if we don’t fix this chest we’re both gonna die in a terrible accident and it won’t be from a horse shoe”.

And the mini challenge words are:
pardon me, feather duster, gathering storm, furthermore, magnolia blossoms

Mrs. Fussybootie marched up to her neighbor’s door as though she had her feather duster planted firmly up her butt. She glanced disapprovingly at the dark clouds of the gathering storm as she pounded on the door. Finally Mr. Whitertrash opened the door, glaring at Mrs. Fussybootie while crushing a beer can in his hand. “Yeah, what is it this time?” he asked. “It’s the wind, the wind is, is blowing all the trash from your yard into my garden.” As hard as she tried Mr. Whitertrash always made Mrs. Fussybootie stammer a bit. “Really!” he slurred as he popped open another beer, “my trash is ruining your yard! Well pardon me and pardon the wind and furthermore – your magnolia blossoms are blowing into my yard and making my trash look all sissified”. “How’s that for a problem!” Mr. Whitertrash snickered and passed Mrs. Fussybootie a beer. “It’s gonna be a long storm lady, have a beer and settle down”.

Have a silly Saturday everyone!

Well done! The mini challenge is really cute and funny.

I'm playing this week for the first time too. I've done the big one, but haven't started on the mini challenge yet.

Have a great weekend!

Okay, I love both, but the mini-challenge was a hoot! The sister argument was classic and a little creepy with the horse shoe accident. Wow!

I played along with the big challenge and I have yet to post the mini-challenge.

Happy Easter weekend and good luck with all of the busyness. Enjoy!

Hey everybody - had a little time between work and guests and thought I'd check-in.

raven - thanks!!

tt - I'm taking a little time for me right now :) I loved all the names too. thanks

jay - I'm so glad you decided to play, I'll come check in a bit!

snoopmurph - the horse shoe was inspired by the fact that I threw an iron at my sisters head when we were kids. A big old-fashioned heavy steel iron. When my Mom screamed at me I said - "it wasn't like it was hot!" My sister and I always fought.

akelamalu - I have several members of the Whitertrash family around me - don't know which is worse! ;)

lisa (villas girl) - Happy Easter to you as well!

thanks kim - I'm trying to figure out what to call our celebration - how to combine Easter/Birthday into one word - remember when Kramer invented "festivis"?
I did a cake where the bunnies have little word bubbles saying Happy Birthday - it's cute it makes me sick ;)

leighann - thanks! You should play along, I'd love to see what you come up with.

Loved the names of the characters in the mini challenge! Awesome!

And the first one came together very nicely - I think you pretty much executed a three-act story in that one...

minnesotablue - our Saturday Easter/Birthday was a great time, everyone ate too much and we all played Wii games which I suck at but that's OK. thanks.

REH - My little street is surrounded by "fussybooties" and "whitertrashes" - thankfully we all get along and just shake our heads at them.
thanks for all the lovely kind words :)
