Ruby Tuesday: Red Meds
I love the way the top of the bottle looks. I set this medicine bottle in the window and the separation of the liquid inside the red bottle just looked so cool.Sure does look like something you should shake before taking!Check out more RED

The separation is cool. Interesting picture Di. Cheers!!
That is one awesome pic! What the heck is in that bottle tho? Doesn't look fit for human consumption!
hehe.
Peace
The colors are just so vibrant. Awesome!
An unexpected red! Great choice for Ruby Tuesday.
The colours are beautiful but it looks like "Don't drink me!" ;-)
Cool pic! Looks like something Finola might find ;)
thanks matt-man !! I'd rather be drinking WIR
odat - it's medicine for acid reflux - my poor son is developing all sorts of issues, his union is calling for what could be a long, nasty strike and since he was a baby his stomach was always the first thing to get upset.
I did make him laugh by taking shots of his medicine.
thanks ivanhoe - in reality it's very flat and dull looking but the light from the window just brought it to life
leora - I was surpised that it came out so nice, especially the yellowish tint. thanks :)
eg - it's even more awful looking when you peek inside the bottle lol
tt - Finola would probably imagine it to be a secret potion - hmmmm ;)
Shaken not stirred...
lol.
I'd love to be a photoshop tutor, but I must confess I suck at it. I used a program I paid $15 for that only does select coloring. I think it was called magicsplash?? Saw it advertised on bighugelabs.com/flickr last year.
Now you know my secret!! Shhhhhh!!!
That is VERY cool. I love the light through the bottle and the different colors. What color does it shake up to be? Very cool photo and a great, unique Ruby Tuesday shot.
Great shot for Ruby Tuesday, Dianne. I actually thought the same thing Odat did - is that stuff fit for human consumption? Looks yucky.
Then I read your explanation. Sorry about your son's stomach probs.
I haven't posted my RT yet, but hope to do so later on.
thanks for visiting my blog!
Incredible shot, Di! I was thinking just that - you'd have to shake before taking! But the colors are wonderful! Happy Ruby Tuesday!
I love this shot! The colors are fabolous. Shake well for sure :0)
How interesting that the red colour separates between the neck and the body of the liquid; just play on light I guess. And then there's the solid stuff at the bottom. You're right I'm sure about the need of a good shaking.
Thanks for your visit and comment on mine...
Looks like a bottle of tequila in the sunrise...I'm just say'n. *smoochies*
How clever..it looks like something you give to a child and they spit it back at you...
Rambling Woods
Oooh I like it! I immediately started humming Love Potion #9. Same thing as Acid Reflux meds really.
That's cool and interesting shot. love the red and the white combination!!!
What a unique Ruby Tuesday photo. It is a lot prettier than I would have expected from a picture of a medicine bottle. ;D
This is really pretty. Isn't it amazing, how the simplest every-day things can be so beautiful?
Yeah, it is cool. In that "There's no way I would be taking a swig of that stuff" way. LOL ;-)
Great Ruby post! Have a blessed day!
Great colors
Knight said - love potion - cool!
Reminds me of an old lava lamp. :)
Really cool image!!!
gorgeous light, and i like how the different layers show in the bottle
That is so very cool! What a great capture!
Very striking, does it taste BAD???
star - 'shaken not stirred' would have been a great title for this post!! and I won't tell ;)
raven - thanks - I don't exactly what the light did to the liquid/bottle - all I did in editing was sharpen and try to get rid of glare from the window. Jeff says the liquid, when mixed, looks like "baby poop" - isn't that lovely
thanks patti! - don't worry, it's Tuesday all day long :)
mary - thanks!! and I gotta tell you - I'm liking red more each week :)
ellen b - I really love the yellow against the red. thanks so much
me ann - the medicine is incredibly thick. I think some of it was stuck to the sides at the neck of the bottle while the rest of it was starting to settle, with the heaviest part already at the bottom. this stuff is so nasty
chuck - ahhhh tequilla in the sunrise, now that'll cure ya! ;)
michelle - it does! lol
knight - I love the Love Potion #9 song! and, for me anyway, love always caused an ulcer ;)
ladynred - thanks!! especially about mentioning the white, there was such glare and it was hard to fix without messing up the bottle.
eve - thanks so much!!
bobbie - thank you :)
that's what I'm enjoying the most about the photo projects, besides visiting all the others, the looking at things in a whole new way. and I'm appreciating color more and more, it's fun and relaxing.
jay - I know what you mean - my son mutters and curses while shaking the stuff and then swigs real quick and drinks as much cold water as he can as fast as he can. I offered him a beer chaser - he wasn't amused ;)
for the people - thanks, and same to you
thanks debbie!
carletta - a lava lamp!! Yes!! what a cool thing to think of.
juliana - thank you! I've been working on handling light better, it's very challenging.
thanks karen!! :)
cg - my son says it doesn't really have a taste, kind of like mud doesn't have a taste - his words
He says the worst thing is how thick and gritty it is, it coats your mouth and makes you feel "slimy" for quite a bit.
When I showed him the photo he said "wow - you can make sh*t look pretty" LOL
Nice shot! If only the medicine (say, Robitussin) only tasted as good as it looks here!
Happy Ruby Tuesday!
Very cool RED picture!
I have always liked to see how different liquids look in the sunlight!
Junie
excellent picture Dianne...
Hey...I am linking you on The Couch...besides letting others know about you, it is also how I visit blogs each and every day..
Great photo for Ruby Tuesday! I have my own red meds - red wine! hahaha!
Looks a bit like something out of a horror movie ;O)
That's a great picture - I must say I'd have to feel really really really ill before I'd want to take any of that though!
Ewww what's in it?
It looks like medicine for a Star Wars character!
But it makes a great picture!!!
ralph - thanks!! even my son said the photo made the meds look "much more appealing".
junie - me too! :)
bond - thanks! and I'll link you here as well. I really enjoy your blog plus you're my very first bookmark on Firefox, I usually use IE
willthink4wine - now that's a medicine I have a long history with!
babs - the Zombie potion perhaps!? :)
jackie - maybe that's why my son always takes it with the lights off!?
jientje - the light and not being shaken makes it look, as a medicine, very odd. lol
Interesting seperation. Nice red find.
I'm not sure I'd take it even AFTER it was shaken - it looks scary! But very red and therefore appropriate for Ruby Tuesday. Hope you had a good day!
And oh, by the way, I can still recite every stop on the Lawn Guyland Snail Road between Manhattan and Speonk!
:D

Nice shade of red coming from that medicine :P I hope you're well and do not require to consume it though :)
Great use of the light coming through the window. Such an interesting shot. Happy Ruby Tuesday.
thanks gayle
tink - I could never recite the RR but I did know all the exits on the LIE. Now I specialize on the Parkway :)
napaboaniya - it's for my son, he's having some acid reflux issues.
It does look very cool. :D
Thanks for visiting me at A Cook's Bounty.
What an amazing red colour. So vibrant! :) Great shot and nice pick for Ruby Tuesday!
bobbie - thanks!! I'm working on my lighting. It's amazing how light can make a photo so amazing if you know what you're doing
askew - thanks - and I enjoy your place a lot :)
urban buddha - thanks so much, I was pleased with how the color came out. :)
Very unusual. Nice one.
What a great shot for RT! I agree with everyone, I wouldn't take it either! ;-) But the bottle looks amazing against the light.
Kimmie
I love that Di a very cool photo! Sorry I am so late!! I am a day late and a dollar short lol! :D
ilanadavita - I'm still not sure how the liquid separated in such a perfect way but I'm so glad it did :)
kimmie - thanks! it looks pretty normal in regular light and when it's mixed - but then it wouldn't be interesting :)
roger - you can't be late - we're open 24/7 ;)
glad you liked the photo
