Gratitude is the sign of noble souls. ~Aesop

This is my first Thanksgiving in Blog-Land and I got to thinking about how grateful I am for all of you.

Through you I see myself in new ways ...

In different ways ...

No subject is too much ...

Or too little ...

I love when we put our heads together ...

And lovingly share ...

You give me the strength to hang on ...

You remind me to be kinder and gentler with myself and with others ...

You inspire my nurturing spirit ...

And remind me that we are all more the same than we are different ...

So at the risk of being overly sentimental I hope you all know that I say ...

And on Thanksgiving or any other day as well remember that ...

MAY YOU ALL HAVE ENOUGH PLUS A WEE BIT MORE

Some of my very BEST "in person" friends are people I met through blogging! And some will just remain fellow bloggers forever... but they've opened my world, nonetheless! "Thanks for not sucking as a friend?" Yeah, I've had a lot of those IRL. LOL

Don't you ever wonder how we had conversations or met new people before blogs? My husband comes home and checks my blog to see what his family did that day, with pictures. Yes. He does.

You sure have a lot of buddies for this being your first Thanksgiving on the blogs!! WOW!

Hugs to Benny!

Anndi - if anyone deserves 2 Thanksgivings it's you and Kidlet too. Enjoy and eat and eat.

kay - I love when people tell me they enjoy visiting!! thanks :)

melli - I've always enjoyed writing and photography and people kept telling me I should blog but I got that mixed up with message boards. With the exception of 1 or 2 places message boards are a nightmare!! Just endless spewing into space. So I would write and photograph just for me and the friends who would be patient enough to read or look. then someone pointed out to me what a blog really was LOL
and I was off and running
I count you as one of the joys of blogging. I always think of you as you are in your header photo.

daryl - thanks :)
I bet the Moo Duo must be thrilled with a holiday that centers around poultry rather than meat ;)

bobbie - thanks :)
fun is good

sylvia - It is great!! I know I would never have survived the election without people like you. If I had to talk to my family and neighbors only my head would have exploded.

rob - I think you should celebrate tomorrow too, just like Anndi is doing. Just eat a lot and blame it on me ;)

tammy - and to you and your family :)

raven - I'm going to see a lot of people I haven't seen since the summer so it will be good, hugs raven :)

lisa - always leave em laughing - I think Bette Midler said that. I meant the mushy stuff too lol

shelly - one of these days we are going to party barn up close and in person!!

mrs C - especially since I work at home!! this became my water cooler, my lunch hour
as for all the friends - I am very lucky!! what can I say - they just can't resist my charms
have a great day tomorrow - hugs to the family.

kenju - and you're a good buddy to have. Happy Turkey Lady!!

fermicat - he is a cutie, so fragile - he made me cry a bit
enjoy all your guests and tell Silvio to hang in there - it will all be over before he knows it

CG - sentimental and then just plain mental - that's me!
hugs lady.
celebrate the day you got rid of us lololololol

Oh, Indeed, Indeed! Such a wonderful way to illustrate your words....!

And It really bothers me that the word "sentimental" went from being a really great word of positive feelings, to being a dirty word! WRONG! I LOVE 'sentimental' and am old enough to remember how it was viewed before the world got so cynical....And I say...Bring "Sentimental" on, BIGTIME!! (LOL!)

A Very Very Happy Thanksgiving to you, my dear Dianne....And, I love those people at your 'table'....lol!

Dianne,

You are too cool!!!!

Love this post... specially that happy family pic at the end and the one of the cat and the rabbit...

Theres a quote by Meister Eckhart which i try to remind myself of every now and then...

"If the only prayer you ever say, is 'thank you', that will be enough."

Today I am thankful for you,

For the smile you have put in my heart,

With love, Maithri
