OY!

I have a killer sinus infection. A cold. The plague. Who the hell knows ...

Is there a way to sustain life without breathing? Cause breathing hurts my head. All that in and out ...

I still have 4 data files to deliver and focusing is most definitely an "F" word.

I tried taking some photos off the camera to post on the Photo Blog and even that was more than I could stand.

So I'm here - I'm just not all there ...

Later ...

Poor baby! I used to have awful sinus problems, exacerbated by the fact that I apparently have huge sinuses, so I sympathize with your misery. Hope you feel better soon.

Dude! Send someone out to beat up a meth lab owner and steal their pseudoephedrine and medicate yourself. And drink liquids.. like Southern Comfort and 7-Up.. it'll fix you right up.

I firmly believe in fighting sinus problems with as much medication as possible. Not that it ever really works. But, at least I feel like I'm fighting it. ;-)

Get better fast!

Poor Di! I hope you get well soon. My Neti Pot helps tremendously when I'm having sinus trouble. Flush all that junk out! You'll feel so much better.

Sounds like you've got what's going around. Why does it have to happen at Christmas time? Hope you feel much better real soon!

You have my deepest sympathy -and empathy -and if I had 'em, I'd share whatever good drugs I could get for you to help you get rid of the "plague." Nasty, nasty stuff there to heal from -takes forever, or at least, so it seems. But please, get yourself all healed up as soon as possible.

*sends good vibes and hugs gently* I hate the brain fog that accompanies illness. Bleh! I love that everyone has their own remedy. I have my own too, of course, but my favorite has to be Mahala's with the Southern Comfort and 7-Up! I had to laugh out loud to combat the nausea. LOL Laughter is indeed the best medicine. But upon further reflection, perhaps she was not suggesting combining them into a single concoction. Oy! :)

I wonder how quickly I can send some chicken soup?

I'm sorry you feel puny, I know what it's like.

*hugs*

Ho-lee, what a day - I was here this morning, and just about to start my message to you, when I got attacked by several phone calls, 2 doorbells, and ibe SWF (no, not Bridget fonda)Now here I am, finally getting back to wish you an exceedingly speedy recovery! Sinus infection - phooey on it!!

Melli said...

Oh dear... I'm sorry. I hope you feel better soon! Have you tried a Neti Pot? I've never done it - but I hear they're all THE THING for sinus's!

Ken said...

Sorry to hear that. Bic just got over an 8 day head cold. I never got it.
Hope you get through it fast and furious!

Oh, I do so empathize! I've been fighting asthma for over three weeks and it's driving nuts -- but even that isn't as bad as yours so I'm going to shut my whining mouth! I do hope you feel better and soon!

Linda said...

Seems like there have been a lot of sinus infections and the like making the rounds these days and I'm sorry to hear that one landed on your doorstep. I can empathize and sympathize both as I've had my fair share of these most horrible of infections.

I hope you feel better soon but if it's a full-blown sinus infection you may have to hie yourself off to a doctor to get some meds if you haven't done so already.

Hang in there!

Holy cow! You get a ton of comments! Is it always like this??

Anyway, I'm so feeling bad for you with the sinus pain. Breathing is a basic. Life without it sucks. Feel well soon!

Hi Dianne! I feel for you. I started Saturday. Hit me like a ton of bricks Monday night. Stayed home from work Tuesday and left early yesterday. Slept most of the afternoon yesterday and then all night. Felt better today, now I have the cough and my sides are hurting from coughing.
I don't get sick often, and I make for a miserable person when I do. I didn't know one person can produce so much snot. Sorry for being crued(probably didn't spell that right), but I miserable. I picked up Tylenol severe sinus. Worked good, but cause my stomach to act up. Then I went and bought Zantac for my stomach. To quote you "OY". Well I really hope you feel better soon. Lisa

Oh Dianne, I'm sorry you aren't feeling well. I was so woefully behind on reading blogs but now I have some work that MUST BE DONE, so I'm busy busy busy getting caught up on my blog reading.

You are such an amazing write. I cried reading several of your last 12 or so posts (yep, that behind). The one on the HRC (why can't gay people have rights and be equal? HUH)? The one about the poor wal-mart employee that got trampled to death. The one about President-elect meets president-inept.

Maybe I'm just PMSing. But anyway, I'm all caught up and I missed you!

Hang in there. And look on the bright side...you're getting the plague out of the way before the holiday.

I feel for you Dianne. I used to get them alot before in winter before me and Skip became homeowners. We had this elderly landlady who had control of the thermostat. She put the heat up so high it parched us. Drink lots of fluid. Take drugs. Get rest.

I've had a few sinus infections, ad I don't want to take any more of the prescription for this Biaxin. The medicine always worked, but felt like a war was being waged in my head for about four days. I hope never again for me and for you to get better...

Feel better....I'll send some good thoughts your way!

Owwww...oh how I hate those. Drugs darlin'...the only way.

Drink whiskey sans the glass. You may not breathe better but you'll think less evil of dying by sickness.

HAPPY BLOGGOVERSARY!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my- feel better. And for all sinus problems I wholeheartedly recommend the use of the neti pot. I have had one for about 15 years now and would not be without it.

If you need info, email me, ok?!

Feel better!!

gabrielle said...

I was worried about you already when you disappeared for 4 days. I wished for you happy partying. But this? A pox on the plague. Feh!!!

I also used to get sinus infections. In fact my dr. said in 30 years of practice, he had never seen a water xray like mine. Silly me. I asked was that good? Do I go to the head of the class now? Making medical history is seldom a good thing.

I am so sorry you are down. Take good care of yourself. I agree with Maithri. Rest, fluids and laughter. When breathing hurts, laughter works. Gets the oxygen in and out and relaxes the brain. I hope you feel better soon.

Luv ya, feel better.

Sorry you're sick ... I hate sinus infections but get them often when the weather changes. Z-cam works for me ... along with lots of water, rest, and Vitamin C ... if I avoid other sick people until I'm well. Hope you recover quickly and are well for the holidays.
Hugs and blessings,
