Let It Shine, Let It Shine, Let It Shine

MY WORLD TUESDAY

Earlier this summer I visted the SANDY HOOK LIGHTHOUSE.

The lighthouse is part of the GATEWAY NATIONAL PARK and sits on the grounds of Fort Hancock which I posted about HERE.

I hope you enjoy these photos of the lighthouse in all its varied poses.

It's a sweet little location there, Dianne. We are zillions of miles from any sort of ocean here. :)

OMG...what GORGEOUS photos, Dianne!

Holy cow, that white lighthouse against the beautiful blue sky is exquisite. Took my breath away! And I'm loving those fluffy cottonball clouds.

Thanks for sharing, dear lady! I'm off to check out the links you left for us.

Hope you had a great Labor Day. Hasn't the weather been heaven?

X to you and the gang!

The above comment is mine. I don't know why it posted before I was ready.

I love the second one from the bottom. The contrast of the white of the lighthouse and the pure azure sky is breathtaking!

You’d love some of the old ones over here Dianne.

Have always been curious about lighthouses. What a cute house for the keeper. I would love to see inside one.

Now of course you knew that I was going to love this post as I do love lighthouses! I'd like to fancy that I was a lighthouse keeper or a keeper's wife in another life.

Excellent shots!

Sweet shots there Dianne....Love Lighthouses

I think lightouses are neat. I visited several on the west coast, and at one was the notation that it was such a lonely job that the keepers had a hard time maintaining their sanity. I think the keepers at this one were fortunate to have room for two families.
Nice pics, all!
Thanks for dropping in!

This post is just like Where's Waldo - Right? I looked really really close but could not find either you or Hope. I thought I would surly find you both peering out one of the windows. I thought maybe you were on the roof but then I saw it was just a vent. I looked under the steps but only found a few worms. If your going to have a post with such a game as Where's Dianne I think it only fair you let the readers win once in a while.
