A Lady Always Wears A Hat

One of the best lines from one of my most favorite movies 'Steel Magnolias' is when Olympia Dukakis tells an overly bejeweled Daryl Hannah - "the only thing that separates us from the animals is our ability to accessorize."

Hope has decided hats are her favorite accessory and her style is eclectic ...

Cock your hat - angles are attitudes.

She is adorable, of course, in all of them, but she is gorgeous in fur!

Oh, don't ya just LOVE that film? Every character was so well-written, I can't decide which one was my favorite.

Hope looks absolutely precious in each one of these hats.

What a CUTIE!!!!

(((( Hope )))

X to you and the gang!

I want to pinch her little cheeks in that last one! She is too freakin' cute!

She is already to visit the Queen. I have been looking at the hats British women wear when they are at Court. The tradition of hat making/wearing seems to be going full bore in merry old England. Hope, however is far cuter than any of them.

Priceless! All of them! Her eyes in the second one are gorgeous and so expressive! What a doll! Thanks for sharing these, Dianne! I love them! Have a great day -- both of you!

I love it, she is so adorable. My friend's son (now a father himself) always wore a hat, he had all types of hats .. and he still wears them, not as often but he wears them more frequently than any other man I know. She's quite the Fashionista, your Hope!

I think Prince William should hold out on that whole getting married thing and wait for Hope to be of age. She will make a lovely princess.

Hope accessorizes with flair. Not that she wouldn't be simply stunning hatless.

Hehe, cute! I love hats but they tend to fall off my hair in the slightest breeze...

My favorite pic is, without a doubt, the pose in the pink jacket. What a cute kid!

I always thought hats were for bad hair days. Hope proves they definitely are fashion and attitude statments. My teeth hurt from how sweet she looks.

Oh, very cute! It will serve her well in life to be accustomed to wearing a hat...keep her complexion beautiful.

As Rod Stewart used to sing she "wears it well"!

Daddy's going to have his hands full with that one when she's older and the boys start taking notice!

Hope has it down. Do you have a dress box started yet? My girls had a dress up box. My oldest found a dress in that box that made her look like she stepped out from a scene of Little House on the Prairie. My wife was away and daughter was wearing this dress when it came time for church. She wanted to wear it -I think was about 6 years old. I thought she looked cute so I took her. I found out my wife has fashion police friends at church. After 23 years you would think a women would begin to lose her memory. But I am reminded now and then that I will never be allowed to take my granddaughters. That really is not a problem since I have no granddaughters.

What a cutie pie Hope is!

Sinatra was quite debonair, wasn't he?

I swear to God that Hope just gets more adorable every day. And the hat quote by Sinatra just made it!
