Hope's Holiday

So I'm still battling this bug. I can't decide if I'm still sick or sick again - I vaguely remember feeling sorta OK a day or two here and there. Then again my head is so stuffed that I'm not sure if I've had a clear thought since Christmas.

What else is new.

I thought I'd share some photos from Christmas ...

As we headed off to Brooklyn I asked Hope what the traffic would be like.

At my brother's house she tried on her new coat. She'll be appearing as Huggy Bear The Pimp in the Nick Jr. remake of Starsky and Hutch.

Daddy is explaining the fine art of wind-up toys.

She loves her Elmo phone.

Christmas morning concert.

I think she looks happy. She's responding to a call on her Winnie The Pooh fire engine.

Hope changed so she could respond to calls in fancier neighborhoods.

Two of our favorite people - Elmo and Anngelica. Anngelica is engaged to my DIL's brother. She is usually called Geli but on Christmas Day, in an attempt to say Aunt Anngelica, she has now been dubbed AnnaGelica. AnnaGelica is an actress. She has been on Broadway and has appeared in the lead roles of several road companies. This spring she'll be in Miss Saigon in Philadelphia.

AnnaGelica knows how to have fun.

Washing our hands demo with the aid of the talking kitchen.

So that's a bit of Christmas with Hope. I'm going to try and visit everyone over the weekend.

Peace.

Sounds like you need some steroids!

Hope's new coat is amazing. She will be the hippest pimp on the block. Did you get her a matching leopard print gun?

Every time you post pictures of your son I get lost for several minutes in fantasy land. I probably shouldn't tell you that though.

It's been a few years since we've had that many kids toys under the tree.

She is one adorable little girl!

As for you being sick .... I have had several friends who have really struggled with whatever is going around. It seems to be a "hanger-on-er" for certain. I hope you can be free of hanging soon. :)

I am sorry that you are still sick. I hope it passes soon. Photos of Hope are adorable ;)

She just gets cuter and cuter. At first glance the purse in the top photo looked like Hope's angel wing. She could easily be the Littlest Angel.

Quit being sick! Take care of yourself and please feel better soon.

I'm sorry to hear you still aren't feeling well. That is not a fun happening to endure. I could send you Angel-Kitty! She'll cuddle up with you :)

Hurry up and get rid of that cruddy illness would you?!

Hope looks gorgeous as usual. And I think DIL's brother is onto a winner, AnnaGelica sounds like a fabulous woman.

Like Hilary, I thought Hope was wearing her angel wings in the first pic. With or without them, she's still an angel--and growing up so fast!

Please get well soon.

Sure hope you can shake that bug soon. My son has been battling a persistent case of something too.

Looks like Hope made a haul at Christmas, and I'll bet watching her was all the entertainment all the big people needed.

Okay, first I have to say the shot of Hope in that coat is BEYOND brilliant....

"She'll be appearing as Huggy Bear The Pimp in the Nick Jr. remake of Starsky and Hutch."

Bwhahahahahahahaha! That CRACKED ME UP!!!!!

Oh, she gets more adorable as time goes by! Love her little fancy dress. It's stunning!

And thank you for sharing about Anngelica being an actress, because I found that so exciting! I will look for her in the cast of Miss Siagon when it comes here to Philly in the Spring!!!

It is so sad that no one likes Hope - I have never seen such a deprived child. I think you need to double up your efforts in spoiling the child, I might add, it would be okay to give the child a little attention once in a while. In-spite of her obvious neglect, she looks surprisingly happy. I guess it speaks to the child’s ability to be flexible and do the best she can with her self focused caregivers.
Good job Grandma. :-)

Are you sure you don't have a sinus infection? I had what I thought was a cold for weeks, saw the doc, found out it was a sinus infection, two days on antibiotics and was totally fine again. Be well soon.
Hope is hopelessly adorable.

What great photos , I love the look of sheer joy on Hope's face. What a shame that adults cannot express such a raw emotion as well or often.

I hope you feel much better soon. The 'flu is an awful bug. *hugs*

Love those photos, Dianne! The top one is my favorite. Hope looks like a miniature 30 year-old, only shorter. :) And the caption with the new coat is priceless. LOLOLOL!

So sorry you're still sick. All that snow you've been getting must be bringing some germs with it.

Get better soon!
