Happy Earth Day

Go out and hug a tree, smile at a big fat fluffy cloud, jump in a puddle, plant a tree, water some flowers ...

I took a little spring tour of the municipal park in my town and the area around it.

Town Hall is in the park. The trees are so pretty I didn't care that I had to wait for a place to park.

These pretties were hanging out behind the building.

Everyone was enjoying the day.

The main lawn by the lake is being seeded. Gus and Gary are well known at the lake. Here they're doing a quality check of the seeds.

Pretty in pink.

Gorgeous in green.

Even the littlest of creatures are remodeling.

The shadows have blooms.

On the other side of the park spring looks a bit like autumn

The soccer field lights enjoy the view

Just me and one other spring reveler on this side of the park

This little path leads to the creek

Even the phone lines look prettier

Back at home there's a line for the window

You're right - every day SHOULD be Earth Day.
Love your photos - it's so good to see the sun and flowers and trees. It's a beautiful day here and everything looks good:-)

Great photos!
We have covered a good deal of the earth in the last week, and we pronounce it beautiful, even where spring is slow to come.
It's appropriate that Earth Day and Easter come at the same time this year, a celebration of renewal and new life.

We are still cold and having rain. I did walk by some red buds Wednesday and could see that if we ever get warm weather they will be out in all their glory. In the meantime I will have to enjoy your spring. Thanks.

Oh, what a delightful post, Dianne!

Don't ya just LOVE Spring?

Yesterday, I had to take a trip out to the burbs for a work related meeting, and as I was walking through the grass I noticed all the adorable daffodils scattered throughout the grass.

They made me smile!

Great photos! The one of Siren smelling squirrels is precious.

Happy Earth, dear lady!

Yes, I will hug a tree today.

X to you and the gang!

Looks like you are in high spring right now. Spring is finally winding down around here. I need to post some of the last flowering pictures I took.

Looks lovely there. I can't wait for sprint to make it's way north. Love the line for the window!

Well gosh, could you send some of that pretty springiness up north, please? I'm still looking at brown leaves, brown grass, brown clouds ... well, okay, gray clouds ...

Looks like New Jersey is living up to its reputation as The Garden State!

Beautiful, colourful images. You sure are ahead of us.

A couple of walks along the edge of a creek I've not seen since October. That's how I spent part of Earth Day.. it was lovely.

Siren can come to my house and have at it with OUR squirrels! Just kidding, I love the little pests! :-)

Nice post for Earth Day. I didn't do anything memorable and your post reminds me that I should have.

Have a great weekend. Am trying to catch up on your posts.

Love,
Gina

Your camera seems to be in great shape. I vote for letting Siren have squirrel for lunch. Be sure to wipe his whiskers.
