As Paris Would Say - "That's Hot"

The temperature display at a local shopping center yesterday at 4 PM

The landscapers deserted their post

The shopping carts passed out

Everyone seeks shade ...

Cats ...

Babies ...

even trees ...

Remember when the marina was closed?

and you couldn't get a hot dog

Hope sought the inspiration for some bubble blowing and trampoline jumping

This seagull tried to create a breeze

Whether the weather be fine
Whether the weather be not
Whether the weather be cold
Whether the weather be hot
We’ll weather the weather
Whatever the weather
Whether we like it or not

Oh my goodness. It is our so-called summer as well, and I had to have a blast from the electric blanket last night. I wouldn't enjoy 109F, but a nice 60something would be very much appreciated. Maybe if we swap about 30 degrees (you give me 30 degrees of your heat and I'll give you 30 degrees of our cool) we'll both end up with acceptable temperatures.

Jeez! Too hot hot hot. In the past week we drove from FL to Colorado -- through some of that weather -- A/C running all night in our little travel van --
Last night, our first in Colorado, we had to get up and find the blanket. Almost scary.

Dianne, this post was soooooo clevery written - LOVED IT!

OMG...can I just tell ya how I was thinking of YOU yesterday????

If this is any indication of what this summer is going to be like, I'll KILL myself - HA!

Last night, I had the A/C on so low, I had BREATH coming out of my mouth. I have to sleep cold.

Wonderful photos, dear lady!

Give Hope a big hug for me, okay?

X to you both!

Why is it we bitch about the heat when its hot and bitch about the cold when its cold all the while wishing for the one we dont have at the moment? And can that Hope get any prettier?? Enjoy the heat!

I do not envy you the heat! My husband has just lit a fire because it's cold and dull and wet;-)

Seems like nobody's happy (except Hope, who was obviously named correctly) whether there's weather or whether there's not, but really, 109 is TOO much. That's almost 43 Celsius. Right now, with our town's outdoor pool open and the weather supposed to be hotting up, it is only 20C here, which is barely room temperature.
Supposed to be thunderstorms this afternoon but at almost 2pm, we have blue skies with sunshine and cute little puffy white clouds.

Right now here in the Pacific Northwest, it's 2:30 in the afternoon and 61 degrees. Need a light sweater when I go outside. But a little sunshine would be very nice indeed!

Yep, it was definitely hot but thankfully it only lasted a couple of days before it cooled off again. Let's see how long it is before we start to sizzle again.

Brrrrr, sounds cold! But there is that niceness about a fresh scent to the air that makes spring so special.

Lordy...! If it this hot now in early June, what will July and August be like? OY! It has been pretty comfortable here---in fact, slightly cold, for here...But we all know that bloody heat is just around the corner....

HOPE looks adorable, as always. What a delightful little Spirit she is....!

Yep! Hotter than Hades here too! Yesterday was Day 1 of the Community Yard Sale of which my daughter (Mandy) is a participant and though we had a lot of visitors, not all that many shoppers even though Mandy's stuff is really and truly bargain basements priced. (As she put it in her ad, "Where else can you get a 2-piece Gymboree outfit for a buck?" Where, indeed? And the majority of her stuff is priced under a buck and also, almost all name brand in great condition as well! But, the sale yesterday ended around 4 p.m. when the clouds and sprinkles plus a bit of thunder rolled in and last night, we had mega electrical activity, noise and heavy rainfall too. I was afraid we'd be rained out today but the sun is out, off and on now, and not supposed to rain again today till late afternoon so pray for a bit of a dry spell for the next couple of hours anyway and maybe things will be a bit cooler then but after this past winter, I'm not complaining about some heat! No Sirree, Bob!

Love the shopping carts photo. Hope is looking like a young lady now!

Sending a hug for you and Hope.

Nice photos! Whew, it was wayyyy toooo hot a few days last week. Thank goodness next week will be a bit cooler. My a/c needs a little break. It's done great by us so far but I heard it sobbing a little on Friday.

109°?! Wow...I haven't felt such heat for many a year. Over here in Cali it's a comfortable 70°. Perfect weather for washing your car. Hope you're able to keep cool!

My, that is hot! We have had grey weather and rain here for most of the last 3 weeks or so. Still hoping for some fine weather though!

Love the pic of Hope - isn't she growing up fast!!
