Cat Chaos and Caution and Cuddles

Siren and Isadora have had a busy month ...

Siren needed to go to the vet for treatment of his ongoing gum troubles.

For months it has been Isadora who was going to the vet - a lot!
So naturally she was relieved when she saw Siren in the carrier
I don't have to go. Right?! Right?!
There's not enough room in there for me.
Right?! Right?!

When he got home Siren felt he deserved a treat and tried to get into my coffee

He went head first for my water instead

Isadora decided to punish herself for gloating by sitting on a box in the hall until Siren got home

Once Siren had smelled the entire apartment and Isadora had smelled him they both decided things were back to (their version of) normal and they took a nap

This is their idea of cuddling
Isadora especially is always on guard

Another spot of cautious togetherness
They can't decide which one of them is responsible for all the trouble so they both ignore me

Eventually Siren gets his way (and the sofa)
That throw is there to keep the sofa clean so of course he pushes it away and then settles in

Isadora tries to get a reaction from Siren by threatening to touch his toys

All in all it's been good
Only one or two shrieking, hissing, howling "discussions" a week
And Isadora has gotten better at charging through the house without breaking (much) anything

Days like that are so hard on 'em. They pretend that they're not worried about where the other went, but they are.

Sounds a lot like Rose & Jack ... last nite I got home and Jack was sitting on the back of the love seat a spot Rose considers her's and I consider off limits to them both.

Some very good kitty pictures, and yes, they are BOTH beautiful, I wouldn't want Isadora getting a big head, after all.

Oh, Dianne....I've SO missed your Siren and Isadora posts.

And this one was freakin' faaaaaabulous!

I just about DIED at this....

"I don't have to go. Right?! Right?!
There's not enough room in there for me.
Right?! Right?!"

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

As usual, wonderful photos. Brilliant captions.

So glad to hear both kitties are doing well!

Thanks for sharing, dear lady.

Meow!

X to you and the gang!

I love their proximity-without-quite-touching napping.

So...you get "the back" as well when the cat thinks you deserve it. Our cat does the same when we deny her treats that she's convinced that she deserves. Heh...too funny!

Sounds to me like Siren and Isadora get along better than my two teenagers Amanda and Jamie! Throw poor Tesla in the mix and look out serenity!

That's quite the box of toys that Siren has there! I bet Isadora felt for sure Siren wouldn't miss one or two ... or maybe not!

Aw, they are both very beautiful cats! Love the photo of them laying on the quilt... almost touching paws.

Sounds traumatic - but cats bounce back pretty well. Possibly the broken stuff helps :-)

Your post and pictures reminded me of when I have seen my son has put the cat's face up by his face. I started calling my son kitty butt face...because cats lick all kinds of ugly place - thus - Kitty Butt Face.

oh...how did i forget this...Kitty Butt Glass and Kitty Butt Coffee

Aww.. they're so sweet. The way they "cuddle" reminds me of my first two cats. They never showed love for one another .. but they slept close-ish together. And they didn't kill each other so that was all the proof I needed. ;)

Two little beauties, they are.

They are both so very pretty and cute, too!

If Benny can become near-buds with Hil's cat, anything can happen. Seems like those two feline are well on their way to getting along. You're doing a fine job, Mom. :)

Both of your cats are beautiful. I hope Siren's gums feel better soon.

Zima, Moxy, Silvio and Merlin wish them (and you) a very happy Independence Day!

They might actually like each other! Imagine that!

Sounds like they have found a way to get along! :) My boys have been together their whole life but even they have discussions about who is in charge sometimes. Of course they are both wrong as it is me! :) Beautiful kitties you have there Dianne.
