Snack Time With Hope

Nana, snacks?
OK - how about yogurt and strawberries?
NO!
OK, we'll start with apple juice
Yes, apple duce
Can you say please?
Yes
Off we went for apple juice and we also negotiated "Daddy cherrios" and grapes cut into slices so Hope "doesn't get stuck"
Daddy cherrios came to be because it's what they always share early in the morning before he leaves for work

Do you want some help?
No, straw is mine

Look! I'm doing it

Can you find the hole for the straw?
No
Do you want me to help you?
No

Did the straw go in?
No reply, just a lot of pushing the straw around
Now can I help you?
No

I was exhausted watching her but have learned that she has her own process
She got the straw in and put her lips to straw and ...
Nana!
What's wrong?
Straw is broken
It's not broken, it has to go all the way into the box
OK

As much as I assured her that the straw was now in the box she insisted on drinking with her face plastered against the box
That doesn't look comfortable Hope
It's good

Chips now?
No
MMs?
No
MMs after Jack?
Yes
OK
Jack's Big Music Show is the video she watches at dinner so Jack has become the name for dinner
The other day she told me she "went to see Pop Pop for Jack"

You're a good girl Hope
Yes
Love You
Me too

You are a good Nana ;) lol Love the photo with the straw not in the box, but in her mouth.

Alcohol should come in those juice boxes too. Especially vodka and tequila. Oh and wine, obviously. ;-)

This is just so adorable. That image of her sipping away at the air is just priceless. Darned broken straw!

She just gets cuter and cuter, Di. I love that you share her with us.

Oh, just look at that face—so sweet and expressive! I love the pictures of her great big smile. What fun for you to be Hope's Nana (even if it's exhausting watching her, LOL).

Ooops, Dianne, I called you by the wrong name AGAIN! Please forgive me. I just wanted to comment about how adorable she is, how smart, and how strong-willed!

OMG...how PRECIOUS was this!!!!!

(((( Hope ))))

"Daddy cherrios"

I LOVE IT!

"I was exhausted watching her but have learned that she has her own process."

Good for her! I'm the same way. I have to learn things by doing it myself and then learning from my mistakes.

Dianne, Hope is truly a beautiful little lady. That expression on her face in the third photo down, makes me believe she's meant for the movies!

You GO, girl!

X to you both!

Oh Dianne! She is such a beautiful little girl -those pics are just great but the one I really loved the best was the first one! The look on her face there is just priceless -like she's looking at you, getting just a tad perturbed with you or something -like get the food to me and do it pretty darned quick too, lady!
I won't tell you my normal of "Enjoy, enjoy!" because I figure I don't have to say that since it's more than obvious that you are doing just that!
Peace.

Ah she's growing up, becoming independent. :)

Oh, that proud smile! Nothing like it in the whole world. Excellent Nana keeping in the background, even when she's sucking on air (silly "broken straw"). Priceless.
Thank you.

Thanks for the explanation as I thought you were offering her some Jack Daniels before the MMs!

You showed your tender side! Nice! And nice pictures too. Of course the subject had a lot to do with your great pictures. Sorry I couldn't give you all the credit.

Just adorable, Dianne. Not sure which photo is my fave.

Nana-hood agrees with you. ;-)

I love that when you asked Hope if she can say please, she says "yes," but then doesn't say the word.

So many "yeses" and "nos."

Thanks for my morning smile.

I still can't believe how big she's getting - and so independent now, too! But then again, she is a Jersey Girl, isn't she??

Your grand daughter is so precious, Diane! What pretty eyes, smile and curls she has! She reminds me of my daughter at that age ..a;ways trying to do everything herself with no help. How fast they grow! Enjoy every second, the second time around! :)
