Happy Halloween

As my dear dear friend Peter, with whom I went to the Greenwich Village parade each year, used to say -

"witches and bitches, gays and ghouls - what more could a girl ask for"

--- it's Halloween!

A few shots from our (tamer) Halloween doin's

We visited the Halloween Center

We looked for pumpkins that Hope could lift

We visited the "creepy friendly" pumpkin who lives across the street

We decorated the front of the house

And at 6 AM this morning Hope called me to tell me she was getting ready for the Halloween party at school and I could see her "before I get make believe, Nana"

Have a Happy Day everyone
Eat candy

"before I get make believe" That's most precious. Give that little darling a hug for me, please. I see gold glitter to match her sparkling eyes.

I bought some Halloween candy. But, I ate it all already. Hey, I'm helping to fight childhood obesity. ;-)

Happy Halloween! Gosh I miss the fun and glamour of the gay parades. It's illegal in Malaysia for muslims to be gay (!) and generally taboo for everyone else so we lack that part of life....

Our granddaughter Hope, now nine, gave up her princess and fairy costumes. This year she was a vampire with blood dripping from her teeth. Oh well the "cute' was great while it lasted.

I bet she was smashing in her costume!

OH I love your friend's saying! haha
Hope is really cute. And I like that witch decoration she's standing in front of.

I love it that you got involved in Hope's party. She's cute in her costome. Our KP had a witches outfit but missed the fun because both parents had to be elsewhere.
((((Huggs )))) for Hope!

Mrs. Jim and I were on the front row at the 2003 Greenwich Village parade. I won't forget it, ever.
I was amazed that a nice parade could be had without the internal combustion engine (cars, trucks, tractors with the floats) or real horsed for that matter.

How could I have missed this?! Halloween's like my fav. And cute Hope with the demon red eyes. It's the only time of year that you don't have to take the red out. Though I did do it for the 80+ pics I took at my new church's Halloween doings last Saturday. Oy! Those demon kids were also cute. There was one about 6 yrs old in a sack race that looked positively maniacal. Might have to use that one for a blog post. LOL :D

Happy several days after Halloween! I've been up to my eyeballs in that most scary of things - work - and have barely had time to come home and sleep before going back in and telling ambulance crews where to go and what to do when they get there. Consequently I've missed all the fun but I bet Hope didn't!

I'm certainly hoping you took pictures of her once she got "make believe"!

This is great weeks after the fact. ('m catching up -- was off line a week getting ready and now we're on the road, so limited time on the 'puter. But this weekend is layover and catchup . YAY!

A great halloween this year for Hope and you -- and, but aren't you glad you had the other kind of Haloween back in the day? It's great to have both lives!
