Steve Jobs

I don't know much about Apple. I don't own an iAnything and I'm a PC, not a MAC.

Yet I appreciate how important he was to the way we all connect and use technology.

Hope loves her iPad and enjoys sharing what she learns with Pop-Pau

She'll grab it and tell you "I'm working with my apps"

This morning's news covered some comments made by the people who use the many things Steve created ...

"My son uses a device Steve Jobs created to help him talk. He'll never know"

"He took technology and made it beautiful"

and simply - seen on Twitter ...

"iSad"

notes left on the window of a San Francisco Apple store

at the 5th Avenue store in NYC

I spoke to a friend in San Francisco last night who worked for Steve Jobs and she said that she'll be looking to the clouds to see "all the new and interesting formations"

Peaceful Journey Steve

That window with all the stickies made me cry. It's so appropriate to be sad today, so iSad, too. He was only 56 years old. What a lot he created in his short life!

I'm a mac too, in fact I've never really used a pc. I was a graphic designer I was one of the first to get a strawberry coloured imac. Infact I still have it. It's a thing of great beauty.

Another great loss. :(

I remember the first Macs, the little ones. I was a printer, a newspaper compositor, and computers made many of us redundant. But I remember the thrill of all the things that little computer could do.
I have a wide-screen iMac now, and it can't amaze me the way that little thing could.
iSad is a classic tweet. I love it.

What a lovely and touching tribute, Dianne!

Like you, I don't own any "Apple products" (but eventually will get a Mac, I know). However, I can so appreciate the quality and care that Apple puts into their products. And it's true...he took technology and made it beautiful!

"She'll grab it and tell you "I'm working with my apps"

Oh, how ADORABLE!

Have a great day, dear lady.

X ya!

A beautiful tribute to Steve Jobs, Dianne! He was an incredible man and did indeed make technology beautiful. The world has suffered a real loss with his passing. Can't help but ask, why do the great ones frequently go so early???? Hugs to Hope! Have a great day!

His passing is not a loss just to Apple or Mac users but to technology itself. Steve inspired not just the consumers but the creators/competition with his amazingly brilliant mind ... if you've not heard his commencement address at Stanford: Google it ..

It really is what you do with your life that matters ... he just happened to things that will be remembered and that helped.

What a lovely tribute, My Dear--I found it very very touching....

He was a true genius innovator, wasn't he? I have been hearing many Quotes last night and today---things HE said....Brilliant, Thoughtful and so Important...Encouraging one to live your own life, no one elses---I LOVED That....
HOPE has an iPad!!! Will wonders never cease....That dear little girl---Growing up so fast, right before my eyes!!! I'm a PC person too, but, I see what this man did to change the way we communicate, forever.....
I wonder what will happen now...They say that EVERYTHING went through him and had to be approved by him and the one time it didn't, they had to pull whatever it was off the market because it had flaws that weren't caught....A One-Of-A-Kind-Unique-Genius. RIP Steve Jobs.

A lovely tribute to someone who changed allour lives, whether we're Apple or PC. And we could all take a lesson from 'think different'. Sad ---- he was so young!!!

That is a beautiful piece of writing on Steve Jobs, Dianne. We still have our old Apple computer – don’t use it anymore but I am sure it still works. We have a PC now. He certainly made a world of difference to the world, to everyone. I listened to his commencement address at Stanford and shall find it again to copy it. It is so inspiring – the best address I have heard so far. He was a true luminary – a light for the rest of the world.

Hope working on her apps! wonderful!
My only Apple product is an iPod Nano - music and radio coming out of a little square about the size of a postage stamp. Amazing.
What a man, what a loss!

Steve Jobs was a counter-culture capitalist. A hippie who was also a billionaire. He's the kind of guy who scares the hell out of a lot of people because he simply didn't live his life by all the unwritten rules of society.
