Dear Betty,

I hear that you’re going to be 90 this coming Tuesday.

If anyone makes 90 look like the new 60 it is you, you fabulous, funny, frisky old broad.

I’m really enjoying your latest project ‘Hot in Cleveland’.

Of course I adored your character Rose in ‘The Golden Girls’ and Sue Ann Nivens on ‘The Mary Tyler Moore Show’. Rose was so delightfully naive and Sue Ann was so deliciously wicked.

I found some videos of ‘Life With Elizabeth’; I didn’t know you had your own series from 1952 to 1955. I first saw you on ‘Password’ with your husband Allen Ludden. I love how you talk about your 18 year marriage to Allen with such warmth and romance.

I know that you won 5 Emmys and were nominated for many more awards. I think you deserve an award for just about everything you do.

I’m looking forward to NBC’s tribute to you airing this Monday, January 16th. I hope they gave you lots of goodies and boy toys.

Perhaps all you want is money for your animals. I smile every time you tell an interviewer that you have to keep working to care for your animals. The work you’re doing with the  Morris Animal Foundation  has saved many animal’s lives.

At least you sometimes get off your 90 year old feet to sit at a keyboard and do some writing. I found  45 titles attributed to you.

I love you Betty. I hope you keep on doing all that you love for a long, long time.

Happy Birthday Betty

One last thing Betty, when the studio made you pose like this didn't you just want to start dancing on the pole? Bet you did.

Got to love Betty. And, it figures she would be an animal person. So is Mary Tyler Moore. All the best people are!

LOVE the photos you've selected for this post. I can still remember watching Password when I was kid. I love that this photo also contains Jack Klugman and Tony Randall!!

Great shots of she and Allen! Handsome couple they made!

How great that you did this fabilous Birthday Post to the FANTASTIC Betty White!! You know, she is o dedicated to Animals---she has been a HUGE Supporter of The Los Angeles Zoo...and of this WONDERFUL Organization here in L.A. "ACTORS AND OTHERS FOR ANIMALS", (My dear pal Earl H. was President for over 30 years..) Ms. White has been honored by them and has supported their work, tirelessly for ALL the years of their existence---And so very many other Animal Organizations....She is something else, isn't she?
I'll be watching that Birthday Tribute right along with you, my dear....! Betty White: A NATIONAL TREASURE!

She definitely has to be a National Treasure, for sure! So much talent and still going strong at 90. BTW, I remember her old, old series, "Life With Elizabeth" as it was on during the time my Mom was living with her younger sister and her husband and when I stayed there from time to time, I got to watch her show then! If I recall correctly, it was only a 15-minute program but very comical!

She's one of those lucky women who grow prettier as they grow older. I'm sure it must be a reflection of the good soul inside.
