Going to the Vet

The kitties went back to the vet over the weekend to monitor their improvement. Siren is doing much better; he is gaining back weight and seems comfy and happy. Isadora still has some respiratory issues going on but she's eating and only hides half the day.

On going to vet day ...

Siren takes on his 'Hell No I Won't Go' stance

While Isadora dons her cloak of invisibility

45 minutes later I finally got her out from under the sofa. People laugh when I tell them we start getting ready for our trip to the vet 3 hours before the appointment but it's true.

Much later that night everyone came out to celebrate being home and feeling better.

We thank you for all the kind words and concern and hugs.

We couldn't even spell V.E.T. out to our dog or he'd go beserk!

Your kitties are so sweet. All my best wishes to them.

Oh I used to dread getting our cats into the carrying cases to take them to the vets. As soon as they were in them they'd poop everywhere just to show their displeasure!

I'm so glad to hear everybody is getting better. They do look just fine to me. It's nice to think that maybe my concern for them had something to do with them getting better! :-)

It was probably the vet, though.

'm supposed to take Josy back to the vet tomorrow, but we are expecting a big snow storm. She needs booster shots. But she still hasn't really recovered from the last trip two weeks ago. She's been licking her hair off more and more. Like Isadora, she likes to hide much of the day. Adopted cats have issues.

I am late in wishing them well, but I do wish them well and hope they are better! They certainly look happy and content back at home!

And, happy new year to you!

Sigh .. Rose is sort of resigned to what has become a weekly trek down to the vet .. Jack has only been once and he seems to have short term memory issues so I am hoping when its his turn he wont decide to play hard to get .. SO glad your babies are better

I'm glad they're feeling better - perhaps they'll learn to associate the vet with that and hop in to their carriers more willingly in future (You can but hope!)

I am fortunate, my vet comes to the house so I don't have to take the animals up to her office. I am glad they are better and also I want to tell you I feel the same way about Betty White as you do. Hugs, j

It seems to be a sixth sense that critters develop about these things. Congratulations on making it there and back relatively unscathed. *hugs* :)

I SO believe you on the three hours prep time. I bet they sense what day it is even before you take out the travel gear.

I am so glad that things are improving for both of them, though slower for dear Isadora....!
Getting "Sweetie" in the carrier was a NIGHTMARE!! He hated it and he knew I was very bad at it....!
They are such smart little beings...
Give each of them a BIG Hug for me, my dear....And one for you, too! And I will pray that both of them keep improving...!! YES!

Very happy to hear that they are both improving. I know that this must be a big relief for you and I hope that this trend continues until they are both better soon. Hugs.

Bob always hated being put into the cat carriers but Sam and Max actually get in themselves! They are very co=operative kitties.

I'm so glad to hear they're both doing better. I know what it's like to get them set to go to the vet. We have to shut all doors in the house before we even think about getting the carrier out of its hiding place. Then trying to get them into the carrier is like threading a needed with cooked spaghetti. Gotta love them.

Heh...I'm all too familiar with that "you ain't movin' me" look. Must be a universal cat thing...

Glad to hear that the kitties are a little better. We are sending tons of purrs that they get all better. Hope all of you have a great day.
PS, love your write up about Betty. I loved all the stuff that she was in, especially the Golden Girls.

I am lucky that Sibu likes to go outside, so I put him in his harness first, then grab the carrier. He also goes many other places with me, so doesn't associate the carrier with the vet, just with the car...which he hates!

Oh no...getting the vet round-up takes time and bandaids...I know..i swear they can read my mind no matter how sneaky I am...I am glad Siren is gaining weight..do they know what the respiratory issues are with Isadora? I think I told you that Elliott can have a hard time due to his allergies..now giving a cat a shot at home...not fun...

Awww... What cute kitties. I think anyone who has owned a cat knows how much preparation is needed for a vet visit. :)
