I'm Gonna Defend a Supermodel

I have really ignored this year's Super Bowl. I despise both teams and didn't know who to root for/against and I didn't like the overall negative feeling the whole hoopla brought out in me.

And then the Giants won.

And so I was pleased for friends and neighbors who are fair weather fans. At least I was until my neighbor called out to me this morning "so Di, how many Super Bowls have the Jets won?"

I really hope that wasn't his mailbox I smashed as I backed out of the driveway. Accidents happen. Oopsie.

So I was watching some post game coverage and I saw a clip of Tom Brady's wife, supermodel Gisele Bundchen, losing it. Apparently an over stimulated Giants douche fan yelled at her "Eli Manning owns your husband" and she steeled herself for a moment and then shouted back "my husband can't ****ing throw the ball and catch it too"

Oh no she didn't!

Bad form. Overly emotional. Breaking the unwritten rule of never attacking the team.

But ya know, she's his wife. And if she wasn't a hot mess celeb no one would have even noticed her leaving and the douche fan would have needed to wait until he could punch someone in the parking lot to make his dick feel bigger celebrate.

I hope she just owns it and explains that she was pissed and sticking up for the man she loves.

Considering that both she and her husband are shallow pools in two oceans of meaningless commerce it probably won't happen.

Thank goodness they have their looks to fall back on.

You never see this sort of behavior at the Puppy Bowl. No one yells out "score you ball-less bastard" and no one says "the bitch could have done better"

Just wait until my Jets win the Super Bowl. I'm going to be so obnoxious gracious.

Maybe if they cut Brady's balls off he won't throw the ball so hard.

The Puppy Bowl looks much more fun. Do you know we can see the Super Bowl here in UK??

Dianne, I didn't even watch the Super Bowl, but this brilliant post summed it up perfectly.

You CRACK ME UP!

"I really hope that wasn't his mailbox I smashed as I backed out of the driveway. Accidents happen. Oopsie."

Bwhahahahahahahaha!

And I actually loved hearing about Gisele's retort. You GO, girl!

"I hope she just owns it and explains that she was pissed and sticking up for the man she loves."

Me too.

LOVE that last photo of the puppies!

Have a great day, dear lady!

X ya!

LOL, LOL....You are TOO FUNNY!!!

I must say, I am not a fan of the Super Bowl---though it was almost impossible not to be caught up in it---I did my very best with Turner Classics....!
BUT....I think Mrs. Super Bowl Super Model was absolutely right!! And I say, good for her!
And I am hoping that it was your neighbors Post Box....lol!

Awww... puppies! Isn't that crazy how even football can be controversial?? Can people not just be nice for once? :/

They are definitely beautiful people, aren't they? I was rooting for the Patriots and felt fine when they lost, because well, somebody has to. I think she said what any pissed off wife would say when someone says icky things about a spouse! Sheesh!

I think she should own it, too. You don't see anyone in the media or otherwise criticizing that guy for screaming at her, do you? It's just "always blame the woman time."

You know I'm a Pats fan and I'm still pissed about their horrible game. However, if Brady was my hubby, I'd stick up for him the same :)

Of course non of this means anything to a Brit, but I did watch Madonna's performance at half time and loved it. :D

Maybe "none" would make more sense?

Aberdeen rocked the Puppy Bowl with his four touchdowns! And his sister got one, too! Go, Ozzies!

Ha! You crack me up! I can't wait until the Seahawks meet the Jets in the Superbowl! I won't even call you bad names.

Excellent....I love your take.

And how many of the frustrations are twisted tighter by lost bets to boot?

I agree. Brady was making throws that the receivers *should* have caught. Fault here does not lie with Brady.

And as for Puppy Bowl, the wife and I caught the reruns after the game. We're incessant channel flippers, but we put the controller down when we saw this. Now....*this* is television. :-)

You are a bad bad lady....but way funny! How did this post make it without a Madonna dis.? or praise?
I am so disappointed. I expect more! More! More!... My need for a laugh this week is in the red zone. So MORE! You're the best!

I really don't understand why they're trying to make such a big deal out of this. All we do in this country is wag our finger at people and tsk tsk them. And we seem to think just because someone is famous they have to sit back and take crap from drunk obnoxious assholes. That's bullshit.

Great little story here. I did watch the Super Bowl, but I wasn't very invested in it either. It was mainly for the beer drinking and overindulging. :)
