Cookies and Crapola - Week 4

I have spared you from me all week but now ...

I'm afraid there is mostly crapola this week. As Jon Stewart would say - "let's take a closer look at this clusterfuck"

My entire big fat head is encased in infection. My sinuses, my gums; I think my hair might need to be shaved off to allow my head to bake in the sun.

For several weeks now my bad ankle, the one that needs surgery if I ever get to see a doctor, has been hurting more than usual. I have the support boot I got four years ago and I wear it on really bad days but I'm not even sure if it fits correctly anymore. I could be doing more harm than good.

And so I pamper it by walking at an odd tilt

Which of course causes all other sorts of issues.

I am so sick of myself. Cleaning, laundry, errands, taking care of the cats - they all become larger than they are.

I know to stay in the moment and I practice gratitude and humor yet sometimes ...

like an idiot ...

I get frustrated.

I'll bounce back ...

Laughter and tears are both responses to frustration and exhaustion. I myself prefer to laugh, since there is less cleaning to do afterward.

Yeah, I know that too, but it's not always so easy to do when the crapola hits the fan.

But I have to tell ya, Dianne, this pictorial narrative was brilliant!

LOVED THAT!!!!

And you're absolutely right...you'll bounce back indeed. In the meantime, just know that I'm sharing MUCH 'good energy' with you, okay?

(((((( You ))))))

X ya!

P.S. loved that quote from Vonnegut!

I seem to be wallowing in crapola this week too. So you hate doctors like me then? I hope your ankle improves so you don't have to see one.

My lower back hurts on the right side unless I walk or stand with my right foot at a 90 degree angle.

Tabor at ONE DAY AT A TIME blog has to wear one of those boots.

Hope things are looking up for you soon.

Oh dear, I'm so sorry...that really does stink! and yes, you probably are doing more harm than good so get yourself to the Dr. and let him check out your ankle...and until then, take good care of yourself!
deep breaths....

I hate sinus infections, they seem to make everything worse. Here's hoping that you get your approval and an appointment with your new doc asap.

Becareful with the altered walk. It really could mess you up more down the road.

What? No cookies? And no Hope? Oh dear, I'm afraid you really are feeling at a tilt and off your game. I sure hope you're able to get to see a doctor soon so that he can get you to feeling a lot better - and I hope you can see one before you have to shave your hair though I think you might be able to rock the Sinead O'Connor look if you try!

A big gentle hug to you!

Ah, well. Blessings on you. I have to remind myself at times that it really is only temporary. Change is the nature of life. Of course that's no guarantee that the change is for the better but we can only hope.

Sorry to hear all this, but I'm really guiltily happy it ended up with such a good post. Hope this comment stays; Blogger is acting up again.

I'm so sorry, my dear. Sinus infections were reason #1 why I moved from Charleston, SC (out of 437-lol). They were hell. Hopefully, you'll be able to see a medical professional soon, and they'll be able to straighten you out. Literally. (Sorry. Probably not funny to you at the moment.) ;)

I am using this phrase especially this past week..I needed a biopsy to rule out cancer and lab work to rule out kidney problems and then my CPAP company said I don't qualify anymore..I hurt my back covering up my plants from the freeze..Friday, I cried and stayed on the couch..I am better today...I am with you..I hear you...and it sucks...love...Michelle

Hang in there girl! Damn, that boot looks familiar (though it is the other person in this house who needs it sometimes)...that just might be worse. Not really. I am grateful it isn't me. But I do understand how painful a foot problem can be. Any news about the Dr appointment? Or should I ask. Take care. Only do what you feel like doing. ooooooooo (and by all means know that nothing could make you feel like THAT idiot that you show there!@)

I hate this for you, Dianne. Sending a warm hug your way.

I know what you mena about easy chores being larger and harder than they really are. Health issues are so hard to live with on a day to day basis for this issue alone , but then there's the pain and feeling crappy too. Sending hugs to help you bounce back quicker. I hope that doctors appointment scomes along real quick!

You sure that's not a NASA moon boot you're sporting there? ;-)

Regardless, hope you bounce back quick! We need you out here in blog land.

Oh, I loved this post! Your selection of images for your commentary were just perfect (especially the idiot) and the Vonnegut quote is so choice! Thank you for the lift. :)

Not that I love to read how much you are contending with -the pain and aches and such -but I do love to read your take on how you deal with all these various things -especially the final quote from Kurt Vonnegut. Sums up my feelings exactly there!

I suspect that I hurt my other knee by favouring the one I originally hurt ...

But at least this year, I have a new pair of knee protect pads that hopefully won't tear my legs up again :-)

Hang in there :-)

Glad to hear you are laughing about all this. Nothing better than laughter to heal what ever ails you. Great post.
