The Impatient Patient

Hi all, Siren here. I felt the need to share. To vent. To kvetch if you will.

I had to go back to the vet on Saturday. It was St. Patrick's Day and my plans did not include shots and being poked at. I had hoped for some corned beef and sneaking a sip of beer.

Finally back at home I expected to be left alone.

As I drifted off I heard her, The Florence Nightingale of animals, coming my way. We had already discussed meds by mouth and come to the agreement that they are a NO so all I could do was assume she was in anxious mode again.

Oh fabulous, she has the camera with her.

I'm fine, just fine. I'm breathing and everything. Didn't we just come from the vet? Good heavens you're needy.

Here. Take my pulse or something. Anything to make you calm down and go away.

Well of course my claws are in. I'm annoyed but I'm not an animal.

Ya know, sometimes you just suck the color out of my world.

Thank goodness! Isadora just threw up in a shoe. Peace and quiet at last.

Poor Baby! I hope you get your rest and tell Florence to go somewhere else to take her pictures. Sleep is the best medicine..

Aww, poor Siren! A cat can't even get some rest without a camera being shoved in her face. Thank goodness Isadora came to the rescue!

Fingers crossed someone saved you a bit of corned beef for when you feel better, Siren!

Sleeeeeep. I think cats are born retired.

Oh too funny Siren. These hooomans are just so norty. They just will not give us any peace. You had our Mom laughing out loud about the taking of the pulse. But we do hope you take your medicine. Have a great week. Take care.

Oh, what a sweet post, Siren!

And please tell Florence Nightingale that I love the photos she captured of your adorable paws!

That's my favorite part of a kitty. That, and your ears.

You take care, Siren, and know that I'm sending ya LOTS of good energy and love....

Meow!

Poor baby! Momma's just worried about you, honey! Feel better!

Our Zoe was in a hospital last Tuesday! Sick again. Had to stay overnight on IVs. Chewed it of the next day & came home with blown up arm from all the seeping liquid. Sigh. She's good now :)

Josy has come to check out your blog. She's in complete agreement with you Siren, and has Isadora's skill at barfing.

It's funny how cats just naturally take over whatever creature comfort you're currently enjoying (blankets, pillows, freshly done laundry, etc...). :-)

Siren, you are looking pretty good to me. What a hard thing it is to be sick. I don't do it very well, either. Go back to sleep, pretty one.

Oh Siren, you don't look like you feel well, but in the first and last pics where you look asleep, you look like the sweetest kitty. That's should have been my first clue that you didn't feel well. ;) Feel better dude.

Siren, I know it's tiresome but your human is just doing the best she can for you. Like all humans she tries too hard, sometimes, so ease up on her, eh?

I might be part cat -- when I don't feel good I just want to be left alone!
