Siren and Isadora

We're in a hellacious phase where both Siren and Isadora are sick at the same time.

Siren spends more time than usual searching out sun squares.

He sits by himself looking sad.

It would seem impossible for a cat to sleep more but Siren does.

Until pill time, then he changes

Isadora was doing fine when Siren's latest episode started and all she wanted was to play

look at me, look at me, why won't you look at me!

Then the hunching down begins, a sure sign she's uncomfortable

She sits all day in places she normally ignores. There are metal picture frames in this bin, some with sharp edges; I finally manged to get a few towels under her.

I miss her wonderful inquisitive look. Two trips to the vet in two days have made her hide from me. She's even taken to sitting in the back of the litter box.

Siren has become a turtle. He pulls in as soon as he sees me.

As I post this Siren appears to be improving. He's eating again and moving about. Isadora will probably need the rest of the day before the shots the vet gave her take full effect.

This guy ...

... is the only critter around here having any fun.

Oh poop! I know too well how a sick kitty tugs at the heart... but two? Not fair. My critters and I send warm, purry, healing thoughts to your furry babies, Di. I hope they improve vastly very soon. Hugs to all of you.

It is so hard when one of our furry friends is not up to par. They do not deserve to be ill. Hope they are both better soon. Big hugs to all.

I do hope they both improve and return to their normal selves. It's horrible when furry companions are ill.

I had both my cats come down with feline leukemia pretty much at the same time. When the first came down with it we treated her, had to keep her housebound and quiet, giving her the medication. she hated it, hated being house bound but she seemed to be improving and then she slipped out one day in the summer and it was hours before we knew it and she was so stressed by the heat that I could tell she wasn't going to recover from this. About three days later she died and a day or two later, our other kitty died as well. Don't ever let a vet give your cat the feline leukemia vaccine. I'm convinced that's how they got sick. I've had many cats and those were the only two that ever got the vaccine and those are the only two that ever got it.

I hope your kitties get well.

I've been wondering how Siren and Isadora have been since you and I spoke last.

I love that first photo you took of Siren sitting in the sun - it's beautiful!

Just know that I'm sharing MUCH energy with your two precious kitties...

(((( Siren & Isadora ))))

Much X to you, dearest lady!

Oh dear, sorry to hear that the four-footed residents are not doing well. Actually, now that I think about it, Tesla has been doing that hunkering down thing a lot lately too but I'm not sure if it means he's not feeling all that grand or if he's about ready to attack my feet. Somehow I think it might be more of the latter!

I hope everyone's feeling better soon and then you'll stop getting dirty looks as soon as you come near. Head scritches to both Siren and Isadora - if they'll let you!

That's funny. My cat does the same thing when she finds a sunny spot. I think she puts on the sad act to get more attention and belly rubs. And you know what? It always works :-)

Gosh, sorry both kitties are sick. That isn't any fun. Hope they both bounce back really soon. At least one of them is feeling better. Sending tons of purrs to both of you kitties to get all better. Take care.

Rose has been under the weather too .. Jack wants me to tell Siren and Iza to cheer up and feel better soon .. and I am sending you hugs because being the mama to sick furbabies is exhausting

I do hope that next time you write about them, they will be well and pouncing on everything again. So sorry to hear that they are under the weather. It really hurts when our companions can't tell us what's wrong and we can't seem to help any. :-(

Oh, I hope they both feel better soon.

Oh poor babies! Not fun at all. What a difference between a cat and dog though. My girl has been sick so many times, but never hides. Always tries to wave that tail and smile and please me. No matter how sick she is.
Hope it passes soon!
Big hugs to you all!!!!!

Sorry they aren't feeling well. Hope they get better soon.

My Ralphy is just starting to feel better. Had him to the vet three times over the past month. Last time, they had to do an emergency procedure. He was totally blocked and couldn't pee. Then my old girl got a UTI.

It is very stressful when our fur-babies aren't feeling well.

Keep us posted.

Hope you are doing well. Lisa
