Memorial Day

My granddaughter Hope "planted" these flags next to her yellow flowers for Memorial Day.

Joining Forces has links to many ways we can help military men and women and their families.

I've just read The Complete McAuslan by George Macdonald Frazer. If you can read Scots, I think you'd love these post WWII stories of a highland regiment.

I hope people took a second to remind themselves what Memorial Day means, and how precious and expensive freedom truly is. It's a shame far too many don't appreciate the freedoms they enjoy in America.
