I've just read The Complete McAuslan by George Macdonald Frazer. If you can read Scots, I think you'd love these post WWII stories of a highland regiment.
I hope people took a second to remind themselves what Memorial Day means, and how precious and expensive freedom truly is. It's a shame far too many don't appreciate the freedoms they enjoy in America.
