Some Summer Stuff

It is so freakin' hot. Triple digit heat index expected today.

I haven't been feeling all that perky this week.

Isadora loves it when the laundry piles up

She discovered by getting stuck in the hamper that she must wait for the clothes to reach critical height before settling in

I took a drive down to the beach early one morning before the temps reached sizzle

Good heavens were people being crucified!

The well part of my mind assumes banners for some summer something

Stay cool everybody

With the heat that you guys are having it's no wonder you're not feeling your best! I do hope you get some relief soon and I remember to say "thank you" to the northwest for another beautiful day -- hate to tell you, but our high for the day will be 81, just like yesterday! Hope Isadora manages to stay cool in spite of her fur coat!! Hugs to Hope and to you!

No chance of heat stroke over here, or a tan, just rust!

sounds like you are having the summer we had last year.

It's 103 here in St. louis right now with an expected high of 108. The only good thing is this is supposed to be the last day of the heat wave. High of 95 tomorrow and 88 on Monday. I'm hiding in the basement until then.

Maybe someone was taking photos of the crosses for a church blog.

L.A. has been comparatively really cool all summer--weird, but I like it. Have you tried wet washcloths in the freezer?

lol It sure looks like a nice day for an ocean baptism. Or a photo for a church blog as Jo said.

Stay cool! :)

We've been getting a little rain and supposedly our temperatures will drop tomorrow.

Clever cat!

It's been very hot here, and we're in a drought. I love the photos of your cat in the hamper! Too cute!

Ah. My cats wait until the laundry is clean before hopping into the basket. No outfit is complete without a little (black) cat hair ; )
Stay cool, lady. That heat is a beast.

It's funny, most of us who live in this part of the world bitch all winter about how darned cold we are and then when the summer gets here all we can think of is how damned hot we are! Where's the happy medium that I seem to vaguely remember as a kid? Sometimes it feels like I moved back to Mississippi's sweltering heat and humidity but the accents are all wrong! "It's hot y'all - ayep!"

Anyhow, all ridiculous observations aside, I hope that things are cooling off for you some down on the Joisey Shore and that it eventually reaches up this way as Tesla is not happy that he can't sit in the windowsill and wish he could go out and chase squirrels being that we have to have all the windows closed with the a/c running. Perhaps I should get a laundry hamper and fill it with clothes to use as a substitute for the windowsill - think he'd notice the difference??

Okay, I'm babbling this morning and making no sense at all ... perhaps I need more coffee?? :-)

Sorry 'bout the heat but I think this is just the beginning considering how rapidly climate change is occurring due to global warming. All the fires are another example of global warming...

We're hot in Florida, too, but that's expected this time of year. Actually, we've been cooler than most of the midwest and the northeast for the past couple of weeks.

Crazy stuff is on the way!

But never fear, 'cause I got a letter from our electric company that informed us global warming is a myth put out by them damn lib'rals!

As I sit here and type, it is 86 degrees and with a humidity of 43% (yes, I know that is low for you, not so much for us) it feels like 95. It's gonna be like that all freaking week! Oh goody, tomorrow is going to feel like 102! Would you easterners please take your humidity back?

I hope you feel better soon and avoid getting crucified on the beach please ;)

See, even with heatstroke you can put together a rather nice post. Lucky us!

Those crosses.. I'd love to know the rest of that story.

Try to keep cool, Di.

waves hello do dianne. what a cutie isadora is sitting on top of the laundry, funny the places cats love to sit. mine likes to sit on clothes that happen to fall on the floor. ha! maybe a laser light will help her feel perky, my cat goes nuts over it.

What with religious fanatics being everywhere, I wouldn't be surprised if crucifixion were making a comeback.

Love Isadora in the laundry pile! You must have sweet smelling socks.

aaahhhh... there's nothing like warm, soft freshly washed laundry!

In our country crucifixion is not a shocker. You can see it everywhere especially when its holy week. Its like their vow for God.
