In one of these films Mickey tells the gang - "Let's paint the barn and put on a show"
All these years later Hope loves that line and we often put on shows together.
First we get really excited, then we get seating and audience members together. Sometimes the Jets pillow is seating and sometimes it's a person named Pillow.
Anyone who has done summer stock theater will tell you that you've got to do everything yourself. Hope starts on her costume while ushering more audience members to their seats. Kangaroo is being difficult.
I'm not sure what happened to Kangaroo but Heart Monkey and Bullseye got VIP seating.
It's important to have a professional looking program. "I have to use the Dora book, I can't fold."
I can only share two photos of the show itself. Much of the action requires me catching the star as she flings herself across the stage or attempts to stand on her head on the purple scooter.
An especially poignant moment is when Hope sings "On a Clear Day I Can See Forever" in operatic tone.
She doesn't want to be typecast as a musical performer so she closes with a dramatic/comedic moment.
Her versatility is astounding.
I haven't been online since the weekend, just a wee bit under the weather. Slowly catching up.

OH how fun! I don't know who's more fortunate here, Hope being the star of the show or you for getting to witness it (and do the heavy catching)... Anyway, you're both stars in my book!

It's awesome that Hope has such an active imagination. Here's hoping that you foster such activities. Kids turn into psuedo-adults so fast nowadays that the ability to act like a kid disappears much too quickly...

Hope you're feeling better; the weather has been the ideal type to feel down under - or at least the nasty heat and humidity we've had up here in Connecticut has been! I'm fighting allergies like mad this season and apparently losing the battle - badly! Which reminds me, where did I put my Claritin D ... ???
