Life Is ...

... not a box of chocolates I'm sorry to tell Forrest Gump. Not this week.

It's more like ...

a traffic jam and an oncoming truck.

The unseasonably warm and humid weather this week has made me hazy. And grouchy.
I'm always grouchy when I'm spritzing.

The cats have not had a good week. Siren's meds are not working long enough but to increase the frequency would cause other issues. We've been working on more nutritional and holistic treatments but if you know cats then you know that the smallest change to their routine is very stressful to them. Isadora goes to the vet this morning. She's been hiding and crying and I'm not sure why.

My battle with the bank over a mortgage modification based on my huge drop in income heats up next week and I'm not looking forward to that.

I haven't seen Hope at all this week and if there was ever a need for a good shot of Hope it was this week. She's been going to after school activities and to her aunt's house since their new baby is due any day now. I'm thrilled that she's so excited but I'm also selfishly wanting my time with her.

I feel a long series of whines and bitches coming on so that's enough for now.

I can relate to the need for a good "shot of Hope!" Life always does have its ups and downs -we all know that. But why they have to accumulate and dump on us pretty much at the same time -particularly with the down side -is still a mystery to me. Hope you do well with the mortgage issues for sure! The rest though will probably iron themselves out easier than that will.

Di, it's about time things turned aru9ond for you.. much like that truck in the image. I hope Sire and Isadora are a quick med adjustment to good health. And that you succeed with that bank battle. Hugs, my friend. Best thoughts.. always.

Amen! I was the same way this week, Dianne; bitching about the warm and humid weather. When the hell are we finally going to get some fall weather???

Sending ya MUCH 'good energy' that all goes well with the bank next week, as well as Siren and Isadora.

(((((( YOU )))))))

X to you and Hope!

Ah, I do SO understand where you're coming from!! Have had a few crappy days myself! A visit with Hope would surely be a blessing now! I also hope the cats get better! I do wonder sometimes why the bad things all seem to happen at one time!! Holding good thoughts and sending hugs to both you and Hope!

I didn't know another baby was on the horizon....that is exciting...

The rest...arrgggg..I wish you could get a break..anything ...I am so sorry. I've had sick cats and the cat is so hard to treat because they hide everything so well and it's hard to know what is really going on..

I am here if you need someone to talk to...hugs...Michelle

I'd love to send you some of our weather. It's supposed to get down 25 degrees tonight, and I think that humidity is at 10%. Sorry about your week. Hopefully, you'll get some Hope time next week.

Well...when there is no hope...laugh.
Here maybe this will help, a quote from the deceased George Burns, “Sex at age 90 is like trying to shoot pool with a rope.”
Well it made me laugh.
Okay how about this one?
I don't have false teeth. Do you think I'd buy teeth like these?
Carol Burnett
That one didn't do it for you?
Okay how about this one.
Three smart guys were standing around talking about what was the greatest invention ever. The first guy said it was the car. The second guy said, no its not the car, it's the computer. The third guy just shook his head and said you both have it all wrong, its the thermos. The other two cried out, how can that be true? All a thermos does is keep things hot or cold. The third guy answered, Yes, but how does it know?
Well that's all I got...keep you chin up.

Laughter is the best medicine there every was. Too bad we can't teach the cats how to laugh. We sure hope that next week is better for ya. Take care.

Yep, the wife and I are facing a similar battle. We're refinancing our house, and it's been a battle from day one. But there's light at the end of the tunnel, and we can't wait for the final signatures!

hugs to you .. i hope the vet figures out a way to fix the meds ... jack was rather unfriendly to us since rose passed .. but yesterday he seemed more himself (the himself he had evolved into slowly over the last 2 yrs) and i think he had forgiven us ... hugs and more hugs ..

Just what Jeni said! We've had the same with last week being a bitch and this week so far turning out no better. I'm thinking of hibernating, except that there is no winter in Malaysia. Here's purring for poor Siren and Isadora, and hoping you aren't a grumpy bear like us for too long.
