Low and High

Yes, we're getting ready for more weather. I'm starting to really dislike weather.
Believe it or not the wind is already a bit too much round here.
People are being evacuated from places that were just deemed safe enough to go back to.
Shore is vulnerable.
Flying debris.

Who the hell thought they'd ever need to beware of flying debris in a small town in NJ.

We remain safe enough and I am grateful.

And ...

Thank goodness for common sense and decency.

A lot of the pundits said the President's response to Sandy had a lot to do with his win. Many of them are bashing my governor Chris Christie for being favorable toward the President during the storm.

Really?

So their idea of good government is for a President and a Governor to put politics before the welfare of millions of people?

No wonder they lost.

I am thrilled by the unequivocal win. Every swing state but one went blue... now we can get down to real business, Republicans. Yayy! Smiling this morning.

I feel like you are getting a one, two punch. Perhaps it will be better than we think. But I do so appreciate the National Weather Service and the work they do.

I have grown to appreciate your governor. Not because he said nice things about the President but because he went right to work and did the job he was elected to do.

To be fair it wasn't Romney who was upset with him but his minions but he could have quelled it. Hugs for you and Hope.

Keep saying safe! Still hoping for electricity for my niece on Long Island who is staying with her family at her sister in laws. Will be thinking of you as this new one hits us. I am just on the top edge and hope to have it miss us.

I thought Christie's response was absolutely appropriate. He AND Obama were there representing ALL the citizens of New Jersey, not just the ones voting for them/their parties.

My friend only just got power back this morning but can't be there to enjoy it. It's time to grocery shop and stock the fridge before the next storm! Aarghhh...

Fine.. I just stopped worrying about you with Sandy. And about who might govern your country. Just call on another storm as if all I have to do all day is worry about you. Sheesh.

Be safe my sweet friend. You'll weather this one, too. Big hugs. :)

I'm delighted by the result. Best bit of news I've had for a while.

I hope the weather doesn't get worse for you. Stay safe buddy.

I turned on the soccer playoffs and discovered that it is snowing in New York. One misery after another. Stay safe.
I'm right with you on celebrating the win and wondering about the haters.

Although I'm not happy about the election results, I think Chris Christie did the right thing; transcending politics and getting down to brass tacks when it came down to the disaster. And I'm alright with him commending the President. Politics be damned. Nothing wrong with standing by Obama and thanking him for doing what the President should do.

Hopefully Chris Christie will be on the ticket in four years!

That's what they've been doing for the last two years, putting party before the welfare of the country. I read several disgruntled Rs say they lost because they weren't conservative enough. WTF!? how can you be more to the right? They lost because they tailor their policies to favor straight white Christian men. Oh and their contempt for anyone who isn't.

In the midst of a storm, there's rejoicing. We're happy as little larks!

But so sorry you've got more crap to go through! Quite unbelievable. Hopefully, it will soon be over and things can get back to normal.
