Thanksgiving

After my town survived Hurricane Sandy it seems even more important to be grateful.

I'm grateful for the safety of my family.

I'm grateful for the people who always show up to help

I'm grateful for Siren and Isadora. They brighten any day and love unconditionally.
In their own way of course - they are cats.

I'm grateful for all of you. I realized it again when I couldn't share the storm with you and I worried about you worrying about me.

Most of all I'm grateful for Hope.

And on we go ...

One thing that really put me off during our recent election was the "I did it all myself" attitude expressed by so many of the opposition.

We're all in this together and we need each other and we depend upon each other in myriad ways.

I'm grateful for your friendship and all those who have cared down through the years.

May you enjoy an especially fine Thanksgiving celebration with your family.

Maybe it's just because I'm more involved on Facebook and my blog, but it seems to me that more people are thankful this year than ever before. You have much to be thankful for...including that darling Hope for sure. Ron and I still have our struggles with health but our blessings far outshine our woes.

I am so happy that you are all safe; and thankful that you are able to let us know. This is such a lovely post, no less so when I'm reading it after the Holiday; it's perfect for any day.
