Stop Turning Left

Who'd of thunk this pagan liberal would ever hate anything left.

Yet these freaking storms that come up from the south and then turn left just keep coming. The area by the marina and further down the road in poor hard hit Union Beach is already experiencing some flooding from this afternoon's high tide.

Thanks NJ.com for always being around to cover this area. You can see more photos from this afternoon
HERE
You might even recognize some of the places from my photos.

This howling wind is making me as skittish as the cats.

Speaking of cats - thanks to all who asked how Siren is doing. He's fine. Actually he's very happy right now as he always is during the days immediately following his shots. It's a chronic condition and it is what it is. At least the meds still work.

Those of us about to float away salute you.

Some day when I'm in charge of the world I'm going to outlaw all left turns that don't have a protection light. It won't help you with this problem, but it will make it easier for me to drive around. ;-)

I always turn left and I enter the left side of the theater and sit in the back on the left. And I vote left. That being said storms should turn right because they (like the other party) are just wrong. Stay safe and remember I have a room in Iowa for you if you need it. The cats can come also. And there is always Hope. give her Hugs j

As I listened to the evening news last night, and heard that NJ was going to be hit again by high winds and high water, I thought of you and those still suffering in your area.
We can only hope for respite soon.

I hope things settle down soon. The wind here has been pretty constant and though I like a nice breeze especially in the summer, this wind has been relentless.

Oh my dear Di, I hope you don't float away.... terrible weather patterns. I half expect Florida to sink during the summer -- or burn up --

Geez...that's some serious flooding action going on there. Is this typical for your neck of the woods?

The left turns are definitely a miserable pattern.

And deceptive too.

When inland I sometimes think the forecasters are making too much of the storms.

But then when I was driving across the Throgs Neck Bridge earlier today the wind was relentless and you could see the Sound below was churning madly.

The coastal towns are in need of a long stretch of right turns for sure.

Ugh you need a break from this crazy weather and the damage it does. Enough!

Glad to hear that Siren is doing well though.

Stay safe.. no floating.

I am also glad to hear Siren is doing well. But this weather business! You have been through enough, and then some, I'd say. :-(

Here in St. Louis we've had a mild and quiet winter. Everything is missing us to the north or south. And then heading east.

Sure do hope you don't ever float away, Dianne. I was just thinking though (and that can be a dangerous thing, when I do that) but last year, wasn't it a terrible year for agriculture products, etc., due to not enough snow and rain during the preceding winter? Wonder if with all the rain and snow we've had over this winter if the ground will be too saturated then for things to grow? Wondering too if there will ever be a happy medium.

It really is Horrendous! You all are going to need an Ark, if this keeps on happening!
Seriously---this is really really terrible. The pictures tell it all, don't they?
Stay safe and dry, my dear....
Hugs to you and HOPE and to Siren and Isadora, too!
(((((((HUGS)))))))

I was so thinking of you and my other friends in Jersey, because I had heard the wind and rain were going to be horrendous. Here in Philly, it was bad too. However, as I was going into New York yesterday, I was shocked to see that the city had little rain or wind until later in the evening.

Glad to hear Siren is doing well!

Much X to you and the gang!
