You can sit on our bench, just push all the fishing stuff over - the little boy tells me
I thank him and sit and watch them for a bit.
My name is Robert
Nice to meet you Robert, I'm Dianne
He points toward the older gentleman - That's Grandpa
Grandpa nods and smiles
I know a lot about fishing, Grandpa teaches me things
You're lucky. I bet he's a good teacher.
He is but we never catch anything. It's just a thing to do while we talk.
I ask what they talk about
All the important things

Love this.
ReplyDeleteThis is wonderful, Dianne! Thanks for sharing!! Hugs to you and to Hope. Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteTwo lucky guys. And lucky you for meeting them. Thanks for sharing. Hugz
ReplyDeleteOh Dianne, I just ADORE this post!
ReplyDeleteIn so few words, you shared SO MUCH!
And just your photos alone say it ALL, because you can FEEL it within the images.
"All the important things."
Truly dear lady, brilliant post!
Thank you.
(((((( You )))))))
X to you, Hope, Siren, and Isadora!
This is wonderful. Frank needs a grandchild for just this. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome! Kid is obviously wise beyond his years.
ReplyDeleteIt's good to talk about important things.
ReplyDeleteI love this! I shared it with Tom. He needs to figure out how to take Isaac fishing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wise little boy - and a wise grandpa, too.
ReplyDeleteIt is always an educational experience to strike up a conversation with a child. Difficult to do these days with so much "stranger danger" but he must have felt safe near his grandfather.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a grandchild, but I have a young friend (four) who entertains me at the coffee shop. He's my friend and we also talk about the important things :-)
ReplyDeletei still miss the Saturday drives in country that my Grandpa and I shared when I was a little girl.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful! Just perfect. I love this post. Thank you.

How cute. Yes kids do seem to talk about the important things with their Grandparents. What a blessing they are. :)
ReplyDeleteOh I love this...hugs to you and Hope
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet story...It's a wonderful thing that the grandpa takes the time to talk with his grandson and take him fishing...What memories he is making with that little boy....
