Is the Chanukah Turkey Coming?

When I was a wee one I used to talk about Chanukah Claus which scandalized all the nice Jewish ladies in the neighborhood but Nana thought it was funny and that's all that mattered to me.

Nana would have loved cooking all sorts of Russian delights along with a turkey.

I am thankful for Hope and Athena.

Hope loves 'Sophia The First' and enjoys dressing like her. The Christmas Elf made her appearance that morning.

When Hope was an infant my favorite thing was her crooked smile. With Athena it is her endless look of surprise. Sometimes her mouth forms a perfect O and sometimes her eyes get really big. Sometimes, if you're lucky, you get both.

We call this photo 'Jeffrey in a Tutu' - she looks so much like her Dad.

Happy Chanukah my friends. Happy Thanksgiving too.

You all hold a special place in my heart.

I posted my favorite colors of Fall over at The Photo Blog The rain and wind have pretty much cleared the trees now.

It is amazing how much she looks like Jeffrey...Both of them are so wonderful and you are so fortunate to have them in your life and we are so very fortunate that you share them with all of us. Have a blessed day today. And remember that it is the light that they bring that makes everything special.

Athena does look like her dad! Giving thanks will be easy for you this year with that pair to love and be loved by.
Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Chanukah. And I do love the idea of Chanukah Claus!

Happy Thanksgiving and the other Holiday that I can't spell because I'm an uneducated girl from the Pacific Northwest. It really is very cool to have both of them together.

Your granddaughters are absolutely adorable. Isn't it neat how some of traits are there from the very beginning! I love that look of surprise ... and look forward to watching Athena grow, along with beautiful Hope.

What a wonderful post, Dianne. I can't say which part I like best. Well, your granddaughters, actually, but I can't decide which pictures. :)
As another blogger said today, "Gobbletov!"

Your granddaughters are just adorable! Love Athena's facial expression!

My daughter was celebrating "Thanksgivukah" this year with her in-laws. Her only hope was that the stuffing didn't contain gefilte fish and that there was kugle!

Hope y'all had a wonderful holiday!

I'm lovin' the raised eyebrows and the tutu! Heh....very cute.

And funny you should mention the elf. Karin and I are looking to buy one to help Tyler realize that only good boys and girls get toys for Christmas. :-)
