Saturday Wordzzle: Week 4

Saturday Wordzzle Time. If you would like to join in or just read some creative paragraphs - check out Week 4 Wordzzle at Raven’s Nest- entries are posted every Saturday and the next week’s words are announced.

This week’s words:

Bolivia, Green Goddess, virtual reality, laundry, ample evidence, matches, your mamma don't dance, sugar, saucy, sofa cushions

Armed with ample evidence from all my trusted consumer research sites I decided virtual reality games were worth the price. I could escape the drudgery of doing laundry, the monotonous drone of the vacuum as I cleaned the sofa cushions. I’d be able to drown out my husband singing his favorite song – over and over he sang the same line – “your mamma don’t dance, your daddy don’t rock n’ roll”. I could use the scroll bar that matches the player with the game; want to be saucy and sexy and take a lover in Bolivia? Done. Prefer something more real within your fake reality? Become the Green Goddess; be sweet as sugar as you travel the universe, saving nature and getting awards from Al Gore. The possibilities were endless and the rewards infinite. It might even keep me from killing the kids.

And the mini Wordzzle words:
olive groves, paraphernalia, sausages, moose droppings, store front

God I hate trendy travel! Here we are, dragging our tourist paraphernalia around with us, traipsing through the olive groves of Greece with a bunch of snooty Rachael Ray wannabes. I don’t care where olive oil comes from, betcha Rachael doesn’t either. I’d rather be eating sweet Italian sausages dripping in sauce at the Olive Grove on 18th Avenue. I still can’t believe they converted the old bakery store front into that wonderfully cheap and tacky facsimile of a restaurant. I suppose this is better than last year’s "save the seals" trip, at least I’m not stepping over moose droppings as I freeze my ass off. Even the seals were glad when we left.

(btw, Cherie here. It wouldn't let me post the way I usually do.)

Oooo! Oooo! (Imagine the sound of Arnold Horseshack from the Sweat Hogs when I do that. lol) But I digress ...

Oooo! Oooo! I'm the first person to respond! :D

Very cute little stories! Well done! (For some reason my "!" seems to be stuck. lol) Have a great weekend!

Hey dianne: I see you wearing an electric guitar for your web photo as a "Spring Update!" This was a cool post!!!

I'm so jealous of people who can write. You're very clever! Does that come natural or do you find it in the bottom of a glass of Merlot? **giggle-giggle**

Dianne - Your sense of creativity just shines through in EVERYTHING you write - whether it is a little piece of word fluff like this or in a major rant, you put your message across in really interesting ways! Great job with this piece. I was cracking up as I read it!

tt - a little of both ;)
too much merlot and I make no sense. add in a lot of anxiety right before I hit publish - I always say to myself - this is rubbish, this sucks.

jeni - thanks so much!! wow!
I think every Mom should be given a virtual reality game as they leave the maternity ward.

The computer gremlins have deigned to return my keyboard to me. Yet another brilliant use of the words. Excellent work. I'm putting the links of people I know have done it into the body of the post... kind of a home made Mr. Linky... Of course more people will find it through you than through me, but...

Thanks for playing and for your enthusiasm.

Great writing again, Dianne! Greece looks so pretty though, I would probably go even if I had to suffer Rachel Ray...I'm sure that's something liquor could fix. You've given me a sausage craving, just what my butt needs :P

Dianne said...

thanks minnesotablue :)

jo - my DIL is from Greece, I've been once - it's beautiful. I had sausages for breakfast!

Well done! I'm not good at stuff like this, but I enjoy seeing others do it. I like how you write!

Dianne said...

thanks sandpiper - I'm glad you enjoy reading these little paragraphs since I really enjoy creating them.

I'm eavesdropping again... Sandpiper... most of the people I've known who thought they couldn't do this have turned out to be really good at it. I know I thought it was impossible when I first started and now it's one of my favorite things in the world.
