The words for this week's ten word challenge: sugar bowl, cotton, wizard, fund-raising, Ben Hur, salmonella, luke warm, telescope, bank, walk-a-thon
and the Mini Challenge: challenge, sparkling cider, melancholy, snail mail, master carpenter
Sugar Bowl Botulism and her best friend Sunny Salmonella were fierce competitors in the Blackwater fund-raising challenge. None of that silly walk-a-thon nonsense for them. Traditional fund-raising was like drinking luke-warm sparking cider that had gone flat. Why use snail mail when you had access to Twitter? Why wear cotton when silk felt oh so good against your skin?
Sugar Bowl and Sunny hated taking part in the challenge. The idea of poor people made them melancholy but Sugar Bowl had promised her father they would do it. He needed the positive publicity for his Congressional campaign.
In addition to being a master carpenter Sunny’s older brother, Ben Hur Hernia, was a technological wizard. Since he had a huge crush on Sugar Bowl he eagerly agreed to help the girls win their challenge. All he needed to do was calibrate the miniature telescope lens in his pants and make sure he was at the bank when the vault was opened.
He would capture the security codes and Sugar Bowl’s heart.
