Hi everyone. Siren here. I noticed that my sister Mia - ugh, I can't stand her - posted here last week so I asked (told) Mom if I could.
She's really easy.
I have some of my favorite photos to share.
This used to be my favorite place to hide - and sleep, and play. That was before Mia - ugh - got here. She parked herself on that bed like an old jalopy.
Some folks might say I misbehave a lot. I'm not supposed to be on the kitchen counter. I think I look innocent.
I love my window. I have all the benefits of the air and the sun and I can watch the squirrels and the birds. Meanwhile I'm safe. Before I was adopted I was living under the George Washington Bridge. I don't like to talk about that ...
Mom says I'm beautiful. She calls me handsome boy and good boy and sometimes she calls me Si Man. I like that, makes me sound cool. Mom says I have a beautiful face.
I was very young when I came to live here. There was an old guy living here. His name was JR and he smelled like poop and medicine. He gave me the evil eye and threw up a lot. Mom had to keep us apart, something about me being too much for JR.
I guess I did act up a little. I really just wanted to play but maybe I could have been gentler. JR died last year - he was older than dirt and Mom said he would come back as a butterfly. I have to be honest - I don't miss him.
I'm very interested in photography. Around here you have to be.
Last year I got a sister. No one asked me if I wanted a sister but I overheard Mom on the phone saying this new cat was living in a parking lot and then she was in a barn so I figured it would be OK. Cats need homes and people to love.
I have learned to be gentler.
Actually she scares the crap out of me. She's tiny and she's old (another one!) but man! she's tough. Mom says it's cause she's a girl.
So that's it from me. Hope you'll visit our host Bozo at PET PRIDE. He seems pretty cool for a dog.

Well Siren welcome to the family. Glad to meet ya. Try and be nice to Mia. If ya don't your mom will call in the Republican National Committee and have you tarred and feathered. She's a liberal woman and won't think anything about giving you away to the poor as a food stamp. On the other hand she will love you to death and really take care of you. Just ask Mia. She stayed up with her for days worrying and nursing her back to health. So be nice to her. Oh and by the way when little George/Laura arrives, give the new baby a purr for me with regards from the RNC.
Glad to hear from you, Siren. Your mom is right - you are handsome.
Be nice to your sister now!
Damn I want a cat again ao bad.....
My ex got custdy of our cat in the divorce. It was, by far, the worst part of the whole thing.
kitty posts are never a bad thing. :) always cute... but I just wanted to pop in and say hi... I miss you n so sorry i'm not around these days.
What a great post, Siren! You're really very talented! I could tell that right off! And handsome! Oh, yes, indeed!
But do be nice to your sister, it'll pay off in the long run. Take it from me!
I would invite you to play with me and Mojo, but she's so picky about that!
Hi ya, Siren...it's nice to meet you! We got a sister too...her name is Zoey...she was living outside all by herself for about 6 months...she was just a little thing...and mom and dad said that we had lots of room here and we should let her live here...but, boy, she is wicked sometimes! Mom says it's because she's a girl...just like with your sister...those girls are wild, aren't they???
Thanks for visiting us! We hope to see you again and hear more about you...

Siren is pretty cool.
For a cat. ;-)~
Mr Tucker agrees that watching squirrels and birds from the safety of the house is the best.

Bright kittens with a mighty big basket...:)
Great post. I loved hearing about things from Siren's point of view. He's not excitable. He's just exuberant. ;) And I don't think that I've seen him in profile before. Cute. Cute. :)
Siren, you are such a handsome boy and your eyes! - so big and round and innocent. Be nice to Mia, there's a good lad.
Yeah, I must admit I'm a dog person, but you're pretty handsome for a cat :)
OHHHH!!!!
JR is a *cat*! I thought this was Dianne's way of round-about revealing she was some smelly guy's trophy wife! LOL!!
Yeah, had to re-read it going... she doesn't *seem* like the trophy wife kind.
Si-man is indeed a beauty. Good on you, Dianne for taking in homeless felines.
You are one cool cat, Si! Now behave and be nice to your sis :o)
You are VERY handsome.
Oh Si man, you are so handsome, if I met you, I would want to kiss your nose ...
Nice post Dianne...thanks for sharing
Your Mom is right Siren you are handsome! :)
Love the photos.
You do have a beautiful face, Siren. Siblings can be trying. Sometimes you just have to share Mom's attention.
Hi Siren,
You seem completely innocent to me. And very beautiful. It's nice to meet you.
Love,
Spark
Siren, I have it on good authority (this blog) that you are in the best of all possible homes! But you know that... (p.s. You are a darling fellow!)
*Applause*
What awonderful face & persona!

Hi Siren ~ If I were to ever get a cat I would hope to get one that was as handsome and smart as you. Fun post.
Siren, you are very handsome and very generous to allow Dianne to bring home a sister for you. She has enough love for you both, so don't let Mia rub you the wrong way.
Siren, I knew you were just a big softy! I love the profile pic of you looking out the window. You are one handsome fella (don't tell my guys I'm flirting with you!). And I love your story. What a scrappy character.
JR looks just like a wonderful cat my mom had for years that she rescued up at her cabin. Died too young of fluid build up in his lungs - one of his severe respiratory infections as a kitten came back to haunt him 12 years later. We do what we can, knowing that each day we give them is one they wouldn't have if it weren't for us.
OMG...this post is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO adorable I could scream!!!!
I want to kiss his little face and squeeze him in my arms until he POPS!
My favorite photo is the first one because it reminds me of how Jerry use to hid under my blankets whenever it got cold.
Oh, and BTW...I LOVE your bedding. The patterns are to DIE FOR!
Thank so much for sharing your precious boy with us Dianne!
Siren...you are one handsome dude!
Meow!

Nice to meet you Si-man and just remember to be nice to Mia - we old women need to be handled gently!
Siren, I'm very happy to meet you.
I have to agree with your mom, you have a beautiful face. I am so glad you got to go home with mom and now have people (and other cats most likely even if they are UGH y)who love you.
I couldn't tell that was you sitting on the kitchen cabinet where you weren't supposed to be. I'm sure it was a fake cat pretending to be you.
Siren, you are handsome and charming both... and very photogenic. You take after you Mom in the post department... Good writing.
Hey, Siren! I like the profile photo! You seem like a very Cool Cat. It will take a while to become acqainted with the new kitten. But I just know you will be on your best behavior. ;-)
Ah, bles,, I LOVED hearing from Siren. Maybe he should have his own blog???
Excellent!.......have no time to read but my quick scan through your post......the pictures were awesome, it's like I met your cat!!!
I'll come back.
You are very very Handsome, Siren...and you do have a BEAUTIFUL Face.....I love all the great pictures of you, too, Siren....Hope you get the hang of the Camera, soon!
