Festival of Lights

Chanukah begins tonight

I wish you all light and warmth and joy ...

I wish you all enough of all you need and the grace to share ...

It is better to light one candle than to curse the darkness

As always ...

there is history and memories ...

and there is Hope ...

Happy Chanukah! May this years create new and joyful memories to add to the old. I'm sure your grandmother's spirit will be with you as you celebrate. Hope looks like a deep thinker. What a joy she must be.

Happy Chanukah to you and yours. I love the idea of lighting candles to banish the darkness. In the Scandinavian tradition Dec. 13th is Santa Lucia Day. It, too, celebrates the bringing of light and invloves the lighting of candles. In recent years we have hosted a dinner party on that night, or the closest one to it where we can gather our friends. This year it will be Monday the 14th. There will be many candles lit. And I'll remember you, and Hope.

Why must you continue with the pictures of the food? You are seriously killing me dead. OMG, I’m so hungry right now. And do you even realize how lucky you are, what with a beautiful granddaughter, who also happens to be named Hope. Sweet Jesus, to think you might name your cat ….Pride or Psycho…
