It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Winter

Pet Pride is posted right below

Happy Winter Solstice. If you stay very still you can feel the earth tilt, or maybe that's just me.

Big old storm this weekend.

It started Saturday afternoon.

Didn't keep Santa from traveling through town ...

Storm ended sometime overnight and the sun started to peek out late Sunday morning.

Made clean-up a little easier ...

Hope experienced her first snow ...

"I've fallen and I can't get up"

"Does this snowsuit make me look fat?"

"OK, I'm done now"

Stay warm

You know I have never owned a snow blower...when I was a kid and we had this very long driveway...oh how I wish ...but I don't know if there was even such a thing back then..and now well my drive is gravel so I don't think a snow blower would work there...guess that's what my truck is for.

Your grand-daughter is just so darling...dont you just love them all bundled like that...

happy monday to you!

Oh, Hope! You are such a doll!
there is a little one across the street from me, just over a year old. I think this was her first snow too. I saw her out on her front porch in her red snowsuit. Her mama was showing her the snow too. I don't think she cared for it very much.

Mercy me! You got all that snow? I'm so happy that we didn't get any more. Glad Hope enjoyed it. That makes it more fun. One of my favorite memories is my nephew's first experience of snow when he was about 9 months old. He tottered around touching snow and trees with such a sense of wonder...

I wish you and all of those you love a joyful Christmas and only good and happy things in the New Year.

Ah, what a doll Hope is! Love all your pics, Dianne! No snow in Seattle, just rain, but at least the temps are pretty mild.

Wishing you and your family a very Happy Holiday season!

She looks just like an angel, Nana.
We got spared this time around, but not for long I think.
BTW: we have the same snow blower :o)

Enough it enough! That Hope is sooooooo cute! She is precious!
And I see you got some snow for her. We only have brown from the frost last Saturday.
Happy RT!
Merry Christmas!

Hmm, Hope does not look particularly amused by the snow - or the snowsuit! Perhaps she'll be more enthused when she's able to actually go sledding and all that fun stuff.

Gee, now that I think about it, I'd love to have a big ole pretty pink snowsuit for myself what with being cold all the time when I'm outside! Wouldn't that look hilarious, though! I'd look like the Stay-Puff Marshmallow Man in drag! But at least I'd be warm!

OMG...this post was FAAAAAAAAAAABULOUS!

"I've fallen and I can't get up".

Bwhahahahahahahahahha!

OMG...that photo and caption is SO precious!

What an adorable little snow angel she is!!!

I was thinking of you during the snow storm and knowing you would be lovin' it like me.

Love to you and Hope, dear lady!

Oh...and also to Siren and Mia!

LOL, Hope looks as unimpressed by being out in the snow as I do! What a sweetie though.

Grandma, I think you are just a little girl inside who loves dressing up her little Hope.
But how could you not? She is way to cute.

Oh my, she has such an expressive face - not sure she thought too much of the weird white stuff though....perhaps next year.

What adorable photos of Hope experiencing her first snow ... though she certainly looks 'toasty' all bundled up in PINK! Love the commentary along with the photos. No SNOW here in Southern California but today we DO have some rain showers and BLUSTERY winds!!!

I love that kids' hats and hoods these days all come with external ears. Since it took the fashion world this long to come up with that excellent idea, I might have to get an ear-hoodie of my own to make up from all the cute photo ops I missed as a child.

Hope is a super-sweetie! Thanks for sharing her with us.

Such an adorable snow angle, cute as cute can be.
The snowsuit will probably fit her next years as well.
We also got snow four days ago. it's wonderful.
So very Christmassy.
Today we celebrate hubby's birthday. He's a solstice boy.
Yesterday we had the shortest day of the year with sundown 15.47.
I'm so looking forwards to more light.

Beautiful little snow angel.
That was some snowfall. Now we're just trying to maneuver the cars around the piles of dirty chunks everywhere and trying to not slip all over on the ice.

Merry Christmas to you and your lovely family.

Great photos! Hope is absolutely stunning in her snowsuit--even though she can't move a muscle in it. LOL!

I missed the actual day of the solstice but, luckily for me, solstice festivities will go on for quite some time yet. :)

I trust you've managed to get all dug out by now. . .

I hope Hope liked her first snowfall. She sure looked cute out in it.

Tell her she doesn't look fat, it's just cute chubbiness. (Remind her she is a baby)
