A Gift From Hope

So Hope gave Nana a little gift.

She spent Wednesday with all her little cousins. They played and slobbered all over each other.

One of them had a stomach virus - or the plague, it's hard to tell.

I spent Friday morning with Hope.

Remember the walker that wouldn't walk? Well look ...

... we have feet down.

She doesn't totally get it yet and kinda rolls around in a circle, but she enjoys it.

Then it was "up" time and we read books and played with purple elephants. All the while Hope was kissing me and rubbing her sweet drool covered hands all over my face.

By Saturday afternoon I felt like I was possessed by a demon, a very angry demon.

Hope was only sick for a few hours. The adults who got this seem to be having a harder time with it. So far it appears that it's been passed on to a least a dozen people.

At least I lose a few pounds.

I don’t hope you lose a few pounds, not that way. Load way up on vitamin C, Zinc and B-12. Eat a ton of fruit and drink gallons of water…if you can keep it down. Then right before bed have a nice shot of Nyquil and you should be good as new within a day or two. Always worked for me. I HOPE you feel better soon!

Wait, are you sure you all aren't just sick because of the Jets game? If so, it might take a week....

No fun. No fun at all...! I hope you feel better very very soon, my dear....!
With my situation, I don't ever see any little children. They are like Petriee Dishes, I'm sorry to say...

The germs babies come with are the only downside to being a grandmother that I can find! It will get better though.

Oh, I hope you are feeling better soon. Not a good way to lose weight though, remember to stay hydrated.

Oh I remember those days. I finally had to tell my daughter not to bring the kids over when they were sick. On the other hand, because they did actually come over a lot when they were sick, I have a killer immune system.

That's one of the reasons I don't like to be around kids. ;-)

It sounds like you had a good time before the plague set in. Bummer. I hope that you feel better soon. *hugs*

Oh noooooooooooooooooo!

You poor thing.

I'm assuming it was a tummy/intestinal virus? OMG...those are the worst! Anything that has to do with my stomach, I just wanna DIE - shoot me, please.

I hope you're feeling a bit better today.

Hey, Hopes little tootsie touching the floor made me SMILE from ear to ear.

Sending you much "good energy" with this comment.

X ya!

Reason #17 that I don't have any of those at my house.

Congrats to your Jets on a fine season! Sorry it came up a game short.

Just remember how much fun you had and how you loved those kisses. Maybe that will help.

I had that over the weekend, too! And I wasn't anywhere near Hope--or any other little kids--so I figured it was food poisoning. I'm fine now--hope you will be soon. :(

There are stomach bugs making the rounds in my town too. Fortunately I didn't catch one, but my grandmother did. And one of my receptionists had to take the day off to mind her sick toddler.

I hope everyone recovers quickly!

Whereas losing a few pounds sounds wonderful to me, doing it this way doesn't!

I hope you're feeling better soon and just remember, this is probably the first in a long line of many, many illnesses you'll "Hope" to get over the years.

Hope you are better by now.
Coca Cola and crisp potato chips are my best remedies against stomach flue. The chips bind salt in the body, and the Coke somehow eases the stomach.
Good luck.

Kids are awfully cute for being human petri dishes. That's probably in their best interests for survival ;).

I knew what was coming the minute I started reading, Dianne. I got my first and only? cold this winter after kissing up to Jarome my grand-nephew at his 4th B-party! Feel better! :)
