Mia

Mia died this morning.

She moved on peacefully, knowing she was loved.

Mia was sweet and strong – I always told her she was fierce. She handled Siren – a male more than twice her size and half her age. She could stop him in his tracks with a look.

She was tiny only in size.

We will miss her.

We will never forget her.

I'm really sorry. We lost a beloved cat last year, so I know how you're feeling. You obviously loved her greatly, which was a great blessing for her.

But glad she went peacefully and knowing how much she was loved.

Oh, Dianne, I am so terribly sorry! I know how heartbroken you must be. . . Take some comfort in knowing that her last days were spent in a loving home, as comfortable as possible, with a mother who would do anything for her rather than--where was it she was found? Under a bridge?

My thoughts are with you, my dear. Much love, Lisa

Oh Mia -"To lose the earth you know, for greater knowing; to lose the life you have for greater life; to leave the friends you loved, for greater loving; to find a land more kind than home, more large than earth- -Whereon the pillars of this earth are founded, toward which the conscience of the world is tending-a wind is rising, and the rivers flow."_-You Can't Go Home Again

I know there is another place where we will be reunited with our pets. But my heart is breaking for you right now. I send you good thoughts of Love and caring. She will always be with you. j

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Not my words but they have comforted me. My love to you, Dianne xx

Oh, my dear Dianne! My heart aches for you! It is so hard to lose a beloved pet and aren't they all beloved? Mia was so beautiful and I know how much she will be missed. Having a little trouble with the my own tears right now, hard to see the screen and what I'm typing. My thoughts are with you. Much love to you!

Ooooooh...your news brought tears to my eyes. Mia is one of my favorite feline blog pals. I never took in her spirit in the flesh, of course, but I got such a strong sense of her from your brilliant photographs of your beloved cat.

Hugs. Thank you for sharing her with us.

All the love,
Gina (more hugs)

My heart goes out to you, Dianne, at the loss of your beloved family member. You are right though, Mia knew that she was loved and no doubt she will be waiting patiently for you on the other side. She may not be waiting quite so patiently for Siren but ya never know!

A big hug being sent your way.

What more can I can that hasn't been said? Other than that you have my sympathy in the loss of your beloved Mia and you also have the memories she provided you as well as the knowledge too that you tried your absolute best to make her life as happy and comfortable as you possibly could do. And now... time to mourn. It is that season. But there is still Hope -of a different kind, yes, but Hope, none the less that she is no longer in any pain whatsoever, and who doesn't wish that for their pets when they can no longer be healed, no longer go on. I'm just so sorry Dianne.
