Pet Pride: Isadora On Being Constant

Hi everyone, it's me - Isadora. I'm blogging from my headquarters ...

Siren is letting me blog again because he's tired. Exhausted even. It seems I'm constant as Mom person puts it. Constantly running, jumping, climbing. Constantly talking, eating, pooping. I'm just plain constant.

Along the way I have accidents ...

This is the "thankfully" vase - thankfully it's strong glass, thankfully there was no water, thankfully the flowers are silk.

Siren immediately went into his "it wasn't me" pose ...

I don't know what he was worried about, Mom person never gets mad. She says Oy! a lot.

I am very happy here ...

Don't worry about accidents, Isadora. They do happen. Our Zoe is more into mischief. She eats holes in a carpet and steals socks to chew on them. That's no accident! I hope she grows out of this puppy stage soon :o)

Our cat Emma has got to be the clumsiest cat ever.

How wonderful that you are settling in so well and I am thrilled to read that you are happy in your new home.
Just do try not to do too many "oy" things and make life a little easier for the nice person.

Sylvester and Kitty say hi. They're not happy about it, but this is moving weekend and as much fun as empty boxes might be, full boxes mean time spent in a crate - though this time thankfully there are no planes involved!

Oh Isadora - you're adorable!

Isadora, it seems that you and Tesla have a lot in common as he's very constant, too. Constantly running under my feet and trying to trip me, constantly getting things he's not supposed to, constantly needing his litter box cleaned out ... seriously, you two ought to hook up!

Aw hon, with a cute face like that, I'm guessing you will be forgiven for any accidents that fall your way!

"Siren immediately went into his "it wasn't me" pose ..."

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA....and that photo is FLAWLESS!!!!!

Don't you love whenever they knock something over, how they just sit there and give it a little whiff, like, "I wonder who did that?????"

OY!

SO glad to hear you're very happy, Miss Isadora. You are LOVED!

Another adorable post, Mom person!

X ya's bunches!

Oh my, Isadora... you must be related to my Angel. She is pretty constant too and has a tendency to leave a bit of destruction in her wake. That's why we (well I) call her The Tiny Terminator.

Glad you have found such a good home. Sounds like Siren has met his match.

Isodora seems to be blossoming! She's lovely. I feel for Siren however.

How lucky you are, Isadora, to have a mommy who's so understanding...and also smart enough to have a vase made of strong glass filled with silk flowers.

When my cat does that pose it’s either because he has humiliated himself by being clumsy, he is seriously irritated at me for something, probably embarrassing him in some way or because he feels that he is above it all. He is an elitist of the finest stock.

You're lucky your Mom person is laid back. ;)

ibeati - thank you :)

ron - he sat that way for a long time, he wasn't having any of the chaos

kristen - she is named for Isadora Duncan because she dances and she throws herself around my neck :)

raven - tiny terminator is an excellent name!!
everyone sends hugs

linda - I make sure Siren gets his quiet time and lots of attention, once that's done he is loving having company

cloudia - me too!!

EG - it's like babyproofing!! I have had to move so many things

scott - I love their elitist attitude

akelamalu - she's been thru enough so I felt she needed lots of understanding

patti - all the breakables have been moved :)

Isadora - in my experience, all kitties have accidents when they are curious about things. But - they are never so bad as to be worth getting upset over. You are so lucky to have such a loving mom and a brother who stays out of the way of trouble!

Adopt a pet from a shelter and you get a lot of love in return ... Stillneedsaname is like that too ..constantly investigating his new home .. which my sister calls his FOREVER HOME ... every abandoned kit and pup needs a forever home .. xox

Oh she's beautiful! Particularly in the first picture, the color of her eyes is amazing.

I'm sorry, I was addressing the mom-person, Isadora.

On the subject of being Constant, do you know, that's what I tell people when they lose one of their furry friends. It's a strange thing, but sometimes people feel awkward about expressing their sadness.

I always tell them it's okay to be that sad, that our pets our are constants in life. That even when we lose another person, although that pain is tremendous, at least we generally aren't losing someone who was always in our home. The constant witness to our lives, the face greeting us in the kitchen.

You're mom's right. Pets are our constants.

Gotta love that Mia pose. She feels the guilt just from witnessing the mishap. Isadora, you're a gorgeous kitty!

trisha - the wonderful thing about Isadora is that she seems so grateful for everything, she gives the most loving looks

daryl - forever home is most definitely shelter speak :)

bond - glad you approve LOL
we have a lot of 'thankfully' stuff round here ;)

jennifer - Oy! is absolutely a versatile word :)

shimp - that is one of the loveliest definitions of pet love that I have ever read :)

mare - thank you! the joy I get from seeing her thrive is so wonderful

old old lady of the hills - thank you!! the whole gang sends hugs

hilary - I am laughing so hard because just as I was reading your comment Siren walked by, looked at the screen and took off
I assume he was p'd off at being referred to as Mia and female
I swear I can't stop laughing
What made you think of Mia? and thanks - I think this is the first time I've mentioned her name without crying, you broke the cycle of sad
Siren will forgive you because you're special :)

misty - it was so funny how Siren looked guilty, he wasn't even in the room
Isadora was amazed by the sound and interested in eating the flowers

noe noe - thanks!! I'm thrilled that she's happy - she had a crappy kittenhood

Hilary said...

Oh dang, Dianne.. I'm sorry! I don't know how I did that.. just distracted, I guess, and I knew the name belonged to one of your furry sweeties. Maybe Mia came by to whisper in my ear just to piss Siren off. I am glad that evoked laughter rather than tears. I would have hated that. Hugs to you, my friend. :)
