Hope's Party

My son set up tents and tables. My DIL and her Mom decorated.

Soon the tent was full of friends and family.

The wading pool area was the place to be for the under 3 crowd.

The "Grill Guys" did a great job.

Hope hung out by the pool with her best friend Daniel. She said his name which delighted everyone. He's a sweet, gentle, incredibly smart little boy who adores Hope.

I think the birthday girl is happy.

Cake time!

The look on Hope's face is priceless. She's a bit overwhelmed by the very loud and rambunctious version of the Happy Birthday song.

Mom and Dad assist in blowing out the candle.

The next morning Hope was thrilled to have all the balloons to herself.

She opened her gifts later that morning. The ABC train was a big hit but I love the fact that she kept going back to all the books she received.

On your next birthday, party like you're ONE!!

Daniel has excellent taste. What a really great party. The first party I recall, I remember being pouty the next day when it all went away.
I love "party like you are one". Should be a bumper sticker.

How GREAT, my dear Dianne. GREAT Pictures and HOPE just exudes Happinss...Such a special Celebration! And the BEST Part is that you have documented it with such FABULOUS Pictures.

And I took your advice, before you gave it...And I "PARTIED" like I was One Years Old, though in actuality, I turned 79.

HOPE is truly sublime in every way. Very Very Beautiful and Very Very Special.

A YEAR has gone by already????

I cannot believe it.

Okay, I know this may sound silly, but I'm sitting in Starbucks right now reading this post and crying.

I SWEAR TO GOD!!!

These photos have touched me so deeply. It's like I can feel the LOVE in them.

OMG, Dianne....what a FAAAAAAAAAAABULOUS party!! And what FUN it looked!

And I have to tell you, the photos of Hope and Daniel are so precious. You can see the glow of happiness on Hopes face when she looks at him. It's like they're having their own like private conversation.

Thank you for sharing this day, dear lady.

Soooooooooooooooo enjoyed it!

X to you and Hope!

You said it was going to be a big deal, and it certainly was. I've always been skeptical of big parties for very small children - like it was really for the parents. And yet Hope appears to be just joyous. Lovely.

I love your closing line.

Looks like it was quite the bash and that Hope had a wonderful time in spite of being overwhelmed by the rambunctious rendition of Happy Birthday to You!

My goodness but you folks know how to party hearty in New Jersey!

Omg, Dianne, I'm savoring this post and feel right there! Hope is the most adorable Belle of the ball. She is absolutely precious! *laughing* If I were there, I'd be sitting with the children cooling off at the pool. So refreshing!

Thank you for sharing the pride and joy of Hope's first birthday! She is blessed to have you!

Hugs and kisses to Hope! :))

I can only imagine what her sweet sixteen might be like... ;)

I don't remember my kids' first birthdays being all that interesting for them but Hope sure seems to be involved in every part of the day. She's a doll.
