Iza had an eventful week. On the 4th she celebrated her 2nd birthday - sharing the date with President Obama and our blog friend SYLVIA
On Saturday she had to go to the vet. Iza has a chronic autoimmune disease that attacks her gums. Without treatment she can't eat and is very uncomfortable. For the time being antibiotics and steroids are helping.
Iza prefers to tell the tale herself ...
I knew the day wasn't going well when I found myself in here
Suspicions confirmed! We're not going to PetSmart for new toys.
Look Ma, they only treat snakes here. Let's go.
I can move fast ya know
It's so rude to show a lady's weight
Mom might have a thing for Dr. Sexy but I can take him or leave him.
I must admit, he does give a great massage.
OK. Enough. I want to leave now.
A not so subtle reminder for Mom - Dr. Sexy is married.
There's a part of me that really wants to grab this cane and start swinging.
As if being at the vet wasn't enough, Siren was messing with my birthday gift while I was gone. Apparently he's trying to sharpen his tongue.
At least he had the decency to be ashamed of himself.
I'm feeling better now. Definitely good enough to claim my turf. Look closely - Mom got 2 of these scratchy, clawy thingies. Siren has his own. Dufus.
So that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Just one more thing. Sweetie is a friend of ours. He lives over there at HERE IN THE HILLS. He's in the hospital right now waiting for test results. His Mom is worried and she misses him. Please join me and Siren and Mom in sending out love to Sweetie and his Mom. Cross your paws or whatever other appendages ya got - we want good news for Sweetie.
