OY

I always get messed up when Monday is a holiday. It takes forever for me to remember what day is what and get back on track.

I already have no clue what time it is - I am not sleeping for more than two or three hours at a time.

I fired a lawyer last week. I think it was on Friday but who the hell knows for sure. I discovered - by accident and on my own - that there is an error in my Social Security records that would make it impossible for my disability claim to go through. So how was it that this lawyer kept telling me he was working on it. What was he working on?

I am reminded of that old joke - What do you call 1,000 lawyers at the bottom of the ocean? A good start.

Anyway - I went to the SS office and fixed the problem. Then I hired a disability advocate.

So here we go again - and again - and again.

My physical oys have been worse lately. I don't know if it's the lumps I took from falling or just good old deterioration but everything hurts more and getting around is sometimes so difficult that I don't even want to bother. I started cleaning over the weekend and all I accomplished was a lot of moving crap around and then just leaving it there.

I am a bit stressed and a bit depressed.

I have so little patience for myself.

I will get another burst of life - I always do. If people can stand in front of armies and demand a better life certainly I can keep on keeping on.

So that's that. Enough of me.

So how are you?

Well, Dianne, regardless of what you 'think' you should feel, it's okay to be stressed and depressed; chronic pain does that to a person. I'm sure you've been told 'hang in there' far too many times to count, but hey, what's one more time?
Seriously, you are in my thoughts and prayers and good for you for firing the jerk! Did he have any explanation?

Me too! All day Monday I kept checking my mail box and wondering WHY I didn't get my check from work. DUH...it was a HOLIDAY!

Sending ya a BIG cyber hug, dear lady....

((((( Dianne )))))

X ya!

Well, I've been in a real mood lately. Not depressed but certainly discouraged. No work. I have proposals out there but no one is in a hurry to get started and in the meantime, waiting sucks.

Arg! And he probably charged you for all that "hard work" he was doing on the case, too. It IS DEPRESSING to be in pain especially when your house is a mess and you can't clean it.

PS Hope at least most of the snow is gone?

Don't even get me started on lawyers!!! They're still predicting snow here today, it's gray, miserable, our furnace died -- over the weekend, of course, and we didn't get anyone out here until yesterday! Talk about a cold house!!! Why is it when the weather is crappy everything else seems to follow right along! My knees hurt and for some reason I've had trouble swallowing the hand full of pills I have to take every day! Whew!! That's better! What would I do without you to give me a chance to piss and moan???? I'm ready to take on the day and I do hope yours is a hell of a lot better than they have been!!! I'm holding good thoughts for you! You get the first hug today and the rest are for Hope!

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say that your lawyer wasn't working on your claim. I could be wrong. But, it doesn't sound like he was. ;-)

Just keep on keeping on babe. That's all any of us can do.

I'm not surprised you're fed up - who wouldn't be? I hope things look up for you soon.
I enjoyed your 'Running of the Brides' post. It sounds as though it was a lot more civilised and better organised when you so kindly queued up for your d-i-l to be.

I'm good. Better actually. Nothing hurts except my foot! Amazing! The physical therapy exercises have worked. And I finished a sewing project that was bugging me and I love the results. It might snow but I don't have to go anywhere. It only matters what day it is because of my favorite TV shows. Counting calories is working and I'm slowly losing weight. Tomorrow we're going to a wonderful flower and garden show here in Seattle, with amazing display gardens and a huge garden related market, all indoors at the convention center. Today we plan to go help teachers unpack and move into our brand new elementary school.
Thanks for letting me count my blessings. And there's always Hope.

I am glad you found the mistake and hope that this will finally be settled.
My hip finally popped back into place I think (hurts a lot less), just in time for the app't with the hip & knee specialist ;)

You will get better, but it's sure a good idea to bitch about it while you're not getting any better. Glad you hired that disability lawyer. What a pisser to have paid somebody to do NOTHING for you. I agree with you about lawyers... I am also sending you psychic hugs, gently...

Alright! Let's hope the disability advocate does a better job for you than the attorney did! I'll be praying and carrying a rabbit's foot, crossing my fingers too, that all goes well for you! I know, all too well, what a pain in the arse Social Security can be to deal with!

Argh!!!! I hope your disability comes through. I had a hell of a time getting mine. And I feel your pain. What doesn't hurt aches and what doesn't ache hurts. Sigh

Stay strong Dianne...I know how tough it is for you as I lived with someone for 22 years, who was in chronic pain.

The lawyer is an a**hat...glad you got someone new

I hate this for you, Dianne. I hope you're feeling much better soon. That lawyer was vile. I'm glad you caught on to him. Big hugs coming your way.

I had no idea you were sick. Sorry, been too concerned about Au to see what others are going through.

Lawyers suck the world over. They and bankers are licensed pirates. Hope you get everything fixed, that the sun shines, and you feel better.

By some coincidence of fate, I have been feeling depresses, stressed, and frustrated too! Maybe finally getting the SS problem fixed will get things in motion and that will help the doldrums fade away!

Well at least you've discovered the problem, that's a great start yeah? I'm keeping everything crossed that your new legal eagle can sort everything out for you. x

Sorry to read of your pain and frustrations...fingers crossed that things start to look up for you soon.

I also know what it's like to struggle with what life throws at us, and it's not fun at all. You will be in my thoughts.
