I Need A Nap

I can't get the files back from the lawyer I fired so I've been spending a lot of time putting it all together again. If you don't know what I'm talking about and lord knows I don't we can all read about it IN THIS OLD POST

It's funny how all these years later the circumstances that led to a lifetime of dealing with a chronic condition that could have been fixed when I was a child still upsets me and causes odd flashbacks to a dark time. The mind is a wonderful and scary place.

I haven't been sleeping much.

I know I have made really snarky remarks about the awful doll with the 'Toddlers In Tiaras' look but Hope loves that damn thing ...

She has such a good life. She is so loved and nurtured and protected. As all children should be.

I will take some credit for how her Dad learned to be a good parent from me.
And so the cycle of child abuse and neglect - so often repeated - was broken by me.

From time to time I have done volunteer work for the Children's Defense Fund. I learned about them when Hillary Clinton was First Lady. She has done legal work for them for many years. If you have time or money to spare you can learn about them HERE

And on we go ...

I guess it would take another lawyer to get the first lawyer to return your papers/files ... GAH .. it makes me angry

Hope looks so beautiful and peaceful. Yes, you do need that kind of nap.
Beauty and peace to you too.

I hope the disability advocate will be more help than the last lawyer.
May you have better days, and some much needed sleep very soon.
Hope is beautiful. Bravo to you for being an awesome mom to your son!

I've found that a nap always brings a refreshed attitude ...

Enjoy your much-deserved nap, even if you don't have a doll like Hope's. :-)

Sending good vibes!

Dianne,
Good for you for breaking the cycles of abuse, I have as well and it feels good, doesn't it? I know my son is sooo loved and has a good life--why not? My husband learned from me as well and good for him, I am proud he broke his family's cycle.
Take one day at a time...you'll get what you need to get done!

If you were living in a TV show you would just have your sidekick break into the lawyers office and get the damn files back.

I do love your overall attitude my friend. I have a small regret and that is, while I lived in NJ and was out of work, I did not get in the car and drive over to meet you

doctors and lawyers...loathe to give up files that belong to you. if they spent half as much time actually helping people as they do covering their asses, maybe they wouldn't get fired!

I hope things can be resolved as best they can for you soon. Hugs to you, Dianne. And a kiss on Hope's sleepy little nose.

Thanks so much for your comment, I'm sorry about the technical hitch in my comments sections (all the wibsite blogs have been having the same problem, but it seems to be sorted now).

I'd hate that doll too, but Hope *is* so cute with it.

Can that lawyer seriously keep hold of your files? That's outrageous! I'll grrrrr in his general direction. In the meantime though, take good care of yourself, and remember "Illegitimi non carborundum".

Awww...so cute. Yeah, let her have the doll. I'm sure my child will soon develop an attachment to some toy or another any day now :-)

Can't you report that bugger to the bar for not doing his job right? After messing you about he can't even return a file????

Can't your new lawyer get the paperwork back for you?

Hope looks so peaceful and beautiful. :)

You're gonna need a lawyer to deal with your lawyer. ;-)

That sucks about the lawyer, but at least you can gather the material again. Yay you for breaking the cycle of abuse! Hope looks adorable with the doll and she will grow out of it soon enough.

Sorry to hear your path has gotten so brambly lately. Good job you're strong enough to deal with it. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other until you find yourself in a better place. I hope it happens soon. :)

That just doesn't seem right that you cannot get those papers back from the lawyer---They are your property...aren't they?

I LOVE that HOPE loves that doll...lol! You never know. And she has a mind of her own! Good For Her! And good for her, too , that she is so loved. Indeed, you broke that cycle, my dear.

HUGS Back to you and HOPE!
