Having Tea With The Donald

So I thought I'd step away from the stress of my day to day life to delve into a bit of politics.

Oh wait ...

I have to share my feelings about this ...

Anyone who claims to not understand why this is racially motivated is a moron or a liar. Anyone who doesn't understand the history of comparing black people to monkeys needs to read a bit more - and quick, before the Texans change all the books.

I don't know where this photo originated but it was forwarded all over the country by a Tea Party chairwoman from Orange County, CA. The text - "now we know why he can't produce a birth certificate" was also included.

A large segment of this country has lost its collective fucking mind because they have a black President with a "funny" name.

Some asshole on O'Reilly suggested President Obama be given a math test to prove he understand numbers since this prick doesn't like the President's budget.

And if anyone is going to say to me that Bush was mocked by us liberal progressives my first answer would be - not this way. Never with filth and prejudice and ignorance. We simply didn't want a dumb puppet letting Cheney and Co. spit in the face of the Constitution.

Racism is vile. It damages people. It tears society apart.

The very next person who tells me the Tea Party is not a racist organization can kiss my white ass.

And then there's ...

This bloated piece of crap who spends most of his time ogling young women in swimsuits told GMA that he has a team of investigators working on President Obama's birth certificate. What are they doing? Destroying it?

This loser wants to run America like he does his self-proclaimed successful empire? Really. He has filed for bankruptcy more times than he's bellowed "You're Fired", he couldn't even keep a casino afloat. A casino!

Of course he'd swear I'm wrong and then call me a dozen disgusting names but this guy has cooked more books than Todd Palin has cooked meth.

And that Bill O'Reilly is my No Spin Zone.

What??? Who on earth thinks that is not racist? My goodness.

Hon, I know plenty of Tea Partiers who would never forward such a thing to my inbox. Who have Hispanic grandchildren they love and are proud of, etc.

TOO BAD people like Donald Trump claim to speak for them!! So frustrating.

And I totally agree with every thing you wrote. I second the motion. Now lets vote the asshats out. j

I've not seen this photo until now, but it definitely is racially motivated.

It truly is as low as you can get. How utterly ignorant!

For some reason, I have always felt that if Obama was unable to instantly pull America out of the mess that BUSH created, somehow it would go back to the whole "black thing."

How sad that is.

And as far as Trump running for President? What a freakin' JOKE!!!!!!

Truthfully? I would rather vote for Ronald McDonald! HA!

X ya, Dianne!

No matter your politics, that photo is a disgrace. I read where the politician that originally sent it out has apologized. That is not enough, she should be ashamed and dismissed from office. The people that voted for her should be appalled!

I had not seen it before. It's truly disgusting, not funny at all. I agree with everything you said here, Dianne, but it just makes me wonder what has happened to my country. I am so sad and feel so unable to make a difference... :-(

I like you.

I couldn't agree more. I hadn't seen that particular picture but I have had many racially bigoted and demeaning photos sent to my in-box from a cousin on the husband's side, a republican who has no need and doesn't hold a job because he sucks on the government tit. I don't think he sees the irony.

And why is it always the fucking Texans? You know, I live in this state, family been here a long time. The people I know are like people everywhere, but why oh why are the idiots and zealots always from Texas. And how the hell did they get control of the school board?

I saw that picture once recently in a news story. Luckily no one has sent it to me. And I have people send me some crazy stuff.

It's no secret that I don't always agree with your interpretation of politics. And I like that we can agree to disagree on somethings. But there's no disagreement on this one. I'm with you 100%. I'd like to say they're unbelievable, but unfortunately they are. I hope Craig's right that Trump is just doing this as a publicity stunt, but I'm afraid that he's not. Oy!

Count me as another who has been fortunate enough NOT to have received that particular picture in an e-mail.
Dianne, I knew if I waited long enough, kept watch on your blog, sooner or later, you were going to admit you'd had this crapola up to and going over your nostrils and into your eyeballs and that you'd post something that registered a great big BINGO on my radar scale! And, I was right cause that's exactly what you did today and you are totally right in all your comments in this rant too!
"The Donald" absolutely makes me sick to my stomach with his attitude and arrogance -oh, and also, with his hair! Puuuleeease! Get it cut! Shave your head. Do something. And while he's at that, please get a copy of his birth certificate too just so we can all make sure he is truly a member of the human race as I do frequently have many doubts about that!

Politics really is a dirty business. That mocked-up photo is a disgrace.

I know racism when I see it and THAT IS RACIST. :(

I hadn't seen that image before but recoiled when I saw it just now. There's no mistaking it.

Still, the man IS the president. That shows progress in collective American thinking that I never would have thought possible at one time. It's a process. For some it may never happen but as you say.. there's always Hope.

We simply didn't want a dumb puppet letting Cheney and Co. spit in the face of the Constitution.

But we did! And we lost civil liberties and individual rights in the name of national security after 9/11.
We stepped backwards as a country, during the Bush/Cheney years. Sad!

That is unbelievable. How much lower can they go?

And instead of my blog I'm linking to the Tripping up Trump campaign, which is protesting Trump's walking all over Scotland like it's his own personal backyard. He is not well liked here, but thanks to our feckless politicians it looks like he'll get his way eventually and ruin some pristine landscape in the process. I can't tell you how angry he makes me.

Holy crap....I was listening to Randi Rhodes and she was talking about this and the Donald...We'd like to think that we have come a long way...but some of us are still beating up others in the lunch room. Stupid cretins....

That is truly moronic, appalling and whoever did it should be embarrassed to be seen in public. The saddest thing is that there are people out there teaching the next generation that this is funny. And around we will continue to go. I can't even look at the Donald without wanting to mock him and shave his head.

I just thank our lucky stars that our election is in May and will be over with soon. We will probably wind up with another minority government, because all the contenders are such jokes. It's a matter of voting for who you think will do the least damage.

You are totally right as always here! That e-mailed picture is VILE! And the tea partiers ARE racists -- and illiterate idiots.

I have to tell you I laughed at your opening line -- political news is certainly no way to relax -- right at the moment I'm not under particular stress, but I can hardly stand to listen to the political news sometimes because it makes me bang my head against the wall.

I can't believe that anyone actually is taking Trump seriously as a candidate. Even the idiot tea partiers. If they are taking him seriously, they are even more deluded than I had thought.

LOL at the first photo :-)!

Oooooo, yes! A Dianne Rant! And all very well deserved! I love it
when you get riled up! And thanks for publishing the pic. I had heard about it on the car radio, but had not seen it. Amazing. We do so well with willful ignorance in this country.

I agree with you 150%!!!! The denial that RACISM is behind everything that has been going on since Obama got elected insults anyone who has a brain and some intelligemce!!!
As to Trump...He is a Bully and a Blowhard....And a dangerous piece of crap, too...Toxic in the same way that bacteria is--I want to tell him "YOUR FIRED".....
HELP US AND SAVE US from ALL of these ignorant dangerous Tea Partiers, PLEASE.....!!!!!!

"Anyone who claims to not understand why this is racially motivated is a moron or a liar."

Agreed! There's no way not to know that this was a racist photo. I'd expect our represented officials to know better.

And as for Trump, it's a shame that the Republicans don't have a viable candidate yet. I myself am an independent, but would have great difficulty even entertaining the idea of Trump as President.

Politics is really scrapping the bottom of the barrel nowadays...*sigh*
