Three Men and A Joke

The White House Correspondents Dinner was held this weekend.

The Host

The Donald

The President

Host Seth Meyers (from SNL) told my favorite joke of the evening ...

"Donald Trump often talks about running as a Republican, which is surprising, I just assumed he was running as a joke."

He also went on to say ...

"Donald Trump owns the Miss USA pageant, which is great for Republicans because it will streamline their search for a vice president."

So true, this time they won't need to go all the way to Alaska for a bimbo.

The President had some good lines as well. He addressed The Donald's alleged Presidential run by saying that the billionaire businessman could bring change to the White House, transforming it from a stately mansion into a tacky casino with a whirlpool in the garden.

President Obama congratulated Trump on forcing his birth certificate to be published and then said that
Trump could now focus on the serious issues, from whether the moon landing actually happened to "where are Biggie and Tupac?"

Obama then offered to show his live birth video, which turned out to be a clip from the Disney film, "The Lion King."

Knowing his audience the President said " I want to make clear to the Fox News Table - that was a joke."

You can read more about the dinner
HERE - there are photos and videos too.

The Donald didn't tell any jokes, he just appeared as one and was booed entering the venue.

I find it hilarious that a guy who takes himself so seriously and absolutely can't stand to be made fun of would put himself into position to be mocked mercilessly by the best comedians in this country. And by the best comedians on the internets. What a buffoon.

Trump looked so angry that I worry he will try to get some type of retribution. Will Seth Meyers still have a job a year from now? His jokes were fairly brutal. Maybe I'm just paranoid, but we do see evidence that money runs almost everything.

I love how our president always looks so happy (and impish) at these things. He (unlike some) has a very good sense of humor.

Didn't Myers also say that Trump is known to have a Fox on his head? I thought that was a good one, too.

Trump *is* a joke, so he shouldn't be too surprised that it was easy to make jokes about him. His home is one of the tackiest places on earth. Money can't buy taste!

Donald's surname suits him - he's like a bad smell.

This is what happens when a man with his money and sycophants get an idea. I can't stand to even look at the man.

Toonman sent me the link on YouTube, he knows my heart belongs to Seth .. anyway I laughed out loud many times .. many many times .. during Seth's and President Obama's speeches. I especially enjoyed that Trump never smiled during the entire time ... he can dish it out but it seems he cant take it ... too bad

Has politics degenerated into a three-ring circus complete with dancing clowns, distractions and idiocy?

Wait, did I just ask a redundant question?

Sounds like a great comedy show! :) The Donald should be replaced though, he appears to be a bad joke! LoL!

I'm really confused as to why this event happened. It's hilarious but why on earth did it happen?

That Beaver-Headed Bully really gets my goat! I rarely say 'I hate' someone....But him, I hate! I want everyone who has a voice that matters to really give him 'what for'....! He sure is thin skinned. If he truly intends to run for President he will be awfully busy writing letters to everyone who he feels insults him...! He is The P Word, as far as I am concerned!
