If You Can't Say Something Nice Then Just Tell The Truth

I haven't posted all week because I have been just plain foul. In a mood that could kill puppies and wither gardens with a slight glance.

And you know me - if I can't be the spiritual equivalent of Mother Teresa and Jesus then I'm just not me.

hehehehehehehehehe - I crack myself up.

It hurts my heart to see how tired and tense my son is. He has been at the picket lines 12 to 16 hours a day, everyday, since the CWA strike against Verizon began. He shuttles workers from one picketing location to another, he picks up workers at rail connections to bring them into lower Manhattan, he collects signs and leaflets at CWA offices and distributes them to sites and then he joins his crew on Canal Street.

This is one of CWA's latest ads ...

I asked Hope what a grumpy mood looked like ...

Then I asked her what a Nana mood looked like ...

Thank goodness and light and the universe for hope and Hope.

And on we go.

I love Nana mood! What a great picture.

And I hope a signature from the other side of the pond holds as much weight as the US ones ....

I hope there's a successful conclusion to the strike. It's so hard for the families.
I love Hope's expressions - she has a delightful name.

Looking at Hope's grumpy mood picture would take anyone's grumpy mood away. Hug her for me.

I'm sorry that your son, along with everyone else is going through this struggle. Your mood is understandable... but in Hope's eyes, you're still the one responsible for the rising sun each day.

it just galls me no end that the ones who call for the rest of us to sacrifice are not making any themselves. not just verizon but all the politicos.

I can't imagine the stress your son is under. I hope they sort it out soon. Hope is adorable and I am sure she helps dad unwind a bit each day.

Bwhahahahaahahahahahaha!

OMG....that TOTALLY cracked me up! Brilliant!

I sure hope this all works out with Verizon and their employees. My god, after reading about this it makes me wanna switch my phone and internet provider. I knew a guy in Florida who's partner worked for Verizon and he said they were one of the most ruthless and greedy companies he had ever worked for.

Faaaaaaaaaaaabulous photos of Hope. What an adorable face!

Sending lots of good energy your way....

I will go and sign the petition. After I finish laughing at your comment about your spiritual equivalent" comment. (Please go ahead and post all you feel like even if you're not in a great mood. Too many of us don't have your talent for getting across our b&*&*es and moans and so we pretend to be Pollyanna.

I am sorry the strike isn't settled (favorably for the workers) yet and I am glad Hope is there to help everybody soldier through.

Lord, this country is definitely going down the drain. Nothing is happening as it should, and I'm just struggling to keep my head above water. And then I read about your son and his struggles, and I only want to help, and I just don't know how. Maybe the only thing I can do is look at that wonderful second picture of Hope and be glad for the children...

We have to keep hope alive for the children, so kids like Hope can have hopes and dreams for the future. Our thirty-someting kids are having a hard time of it. My heart hurts for them. I found out my son went on anti-depressant medication this week because a dream he had for building his cousin's alternative business has been dashed. Hope is hard for him right now. He's so tried of living on so little and just barely making it.

I've seen a few Verizon workers walking picket lines in this area recently too and every time I see them I think of your son and the workers struggle to just provide a decent living for their families.

You would think that in this day and age we would have been past all that but alas, it's obviously not the case.

Hang in there Mother Teresa/Jesus Christ - hopefully things will be better soon for you and yourself!
