I came home just when pool time was about to stop for awhile and Daniel asked me to "stay and play". It took only moments before Hope and Daniel invented a game that involved dipping Barbies into water until the hair was soaking wet and then "painting Nana" with the water. The Moms told them not to get my clothes wet but I said it was OK.
Tormented by safety measures
Daniel says Nana doesn't care - and he's right
Notice Hope sneaking away from the scene

With express verbal permission of Nana the team goes for more water

Oh, that picture of Hope and the water wings is just classic! What a great set of pictures, and you are quite a good sport! Glad the camera made it through the dunking... :-)
She is such a doll and you take the best pictures of her.
Tres cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Isn't she a darling? And her friend is so cute, too. Of course Nana is going to agree to play with them, who could resist?

What adorable best friends!
What a fun post! I have never been painted by Barbie hair before, not sure I would have been such a good sport as you.
Precious pictures.
Who could resist playing with water, at any age?! Not I?!
OMG Dianne, what a faaaaaaaaaaabulous post!!!!
You should hear me laughing about using the Barbies to paint! What an ingenious idea. Aren't kids clever?
That photo of Hope with the water wings made me HOWL. How CUTE!!!!!
And that last shot of she and her friend smooching is so precious!
Thanks for sharing your play date, dear lady. LOVED it!
X to you and Hope!
Somebody's all wet....but it's a good wet. Thank you for sharing. I needed that. j
So true -never too old for playing with small children! Love the pics of Hope and Daniel -a great team and yes, friends forever!
Keep enjoying these things, Dianne. It's what keeps life worthwhile, isn't it?
Oh my gosh..I needed this today..
NOthing like a day with the littles to lift your spirits. I love to play! And think it's too bad we often need the excuse of being with little kids to do it.
In picture 2 Hope looks like shes ready for the next Star Wars epic.
They are SO adorable and you do indeed get the best pictures ever! Enjoy your weekend! Hugs to Hope!

Aw you're a good Nanna. :)
Love the water wings and Ladybug towel. Have never seen Barbie used as a paintbrush before. You are a most kind and patient Nana!
So adorable, and what fun!
Awww how adorable is that kiss! Your darling Hope is just such a sweetie. I could just munch her right up.
Aww, that last photo is so sweet :) Looks like they had lots of fun with their Barbie water brushes! LoL!
Fun! Now I see that Barbies do have their uses :-)
Wishing you Happy World Cat Day.
Absolutely wonderful post! I have even been painted with wet doll hair before:)
Delightful! Forever might be a loooooog time to be friends but who knows? In twenty years they may still be painting Nana with Barbie...or laughing doing something else fun together.
Awww! That's so neat. Looks like some well-adjusted little tykes there. Awesome! :-)
HOW COOL!
Adorable - and what a lovely Nana:-)
