Never Too Old For A Play Date

Hope's best friend Daniel came over with his Mom and his new baby brother for a play date.

I came home just when pool time was about to stop for awhile and Daniel asked me to "stay and play". It took only moments before Hope and Daniel invented a game that involved dipping Barbies into water until the hair was soaking wet and then "painting Nana" with the water. The Moms told them not to get my clothes wet but I said it was OK.

Tormented by safety measures

The dipping of the Barbies begins

Conspirators

Painting Nana with water

The Moms question just how soaked will Nana become
Daniel says Nana doesn't care - and he's right
Notice Hope sneaking away from the scene
Leaving Drowned Barbie on the ground

With express verbal permission of Nana the team goes for more water

Best Friends Forever

Isn't she a darling? And her friend is so cute, too. Of course Nana is going to agree to play with them, who could resist?

What a fun post! I have never been painted by Barbie hair before, not sure I would have been such a good sport as you.

NOthing like a day with the littles to lift your spirits. I love to play! And think it's too bad we often need the excuse of being with little kids to do it.

Delightful! Forever might be a loooooog time to be friends but who knows? In twenty years they may still be painting Nana with Barbie...or laughing doing something else fun together.
