Hope and Daddy - and Major Hunk

A bunch of friends got together at my neighbor's daughter's house to enjoy one of the few days of sunshine between hurricanes and tropical storms.

A little boy wearing a shirt that said 'Major Hunk' took an instant liking to Hope and followed her everywhere. He was bigger and older than her and I watched my son watching them and heard him mumbling things like "why does he have to grab her arm" and "he's making her run too fast". Eventually they all sat down together ...

A lot of the other parents were teasing my son that he had years and years of keeping boys away from Hope ahead of him. He felt better when, after about 15 minutes, Hope got up and told Major Hunk she was going to play "just with my Daddy now."

He wasn't worried about a 4 year old "hunk", he just doesn't see Hope much since he's been doing double shifts.

Being me - hehehehehe - my response when asked what I thought about Hope and Major Hunk was "perhaps she's a lesbian."

I really don't fit in here.

They are adorable indeed and you are a hoot! Neither of us fit in where we are, but I bet we have more fun than any of them do!

Daddy thinks THAT would make her safer? Hahhaha! I do hope that Hope learns to set boundaries as she gets older, because she is just TOO CUTE for words! :-)

I love the way she handled that. "I'm going to play just with my Daddy now." Tactical and straight forward. Kudos, Hope! Heh...

She shouldn't have too much trouble with unwanted admirers if she continues to be as straightforward as she was with this one.
Wonderful photos, Dianne.

She's too young for Major Hunk. She should start praticing with Lt. Hunk first.

I think any boy will be too big and too rough for Hope in her daddy's eyes. ;)

I love your response, it made me laugh so maybe I wouldn't fit in there either. LOL

She just keeps getting prettier and prettier with every picture you post of her, Dianne! And I'm betting for you, life just becomes better and better every day because she's in it now with you, doesn't it?

Major Hunk is well on his way to being a dirty old man someday. I'm kind of proud of him. ;-)

Your son is a major hunk. Every time you post a photo of him I swoon.

Don't worry about Hope. She comes from your kin. She will be just fine in handling the the boys lesbian or not.

Hope is adorable and she will do and say whatever she wants to. Just like her grandma! That's a cute comment from Knight above -- your son is a handsome guy!

Oh good Lord, woman, I hope you didn't tell your son that! It's bad enough he's already worrying about boys - can you imagine if he has to start worrying about boys AND girls both??

It's getting to the point where an adoring father just isn't sure who to point the shotgun at any more! ;-)

daddy have a shotgun? because it seems like he might need it!

Great response! They are all adorable and no matter which way the wind blows, I am sure that Hope will be just like her Nana and tell it like it is.
