A Fungus Among Us

I am both fascinated and repelled by this ...

They were just sitting there, right at the entrance to the fancy food market which always looks so clean and pulled together - and no one seemed to see them except me.

If you need to cleanse the palate of your eyes, here's Hope in her Halloween costume. In the corner you can see that she has decorated her pumpkin with princess stickers. Details are everything.

I swear she gets prettier every time you post a new picture. And that smile is to die for. You are so blessed.

I agree...they kinda intrigue me, but at the same time gross me out.

Whenever I see these they remind me of the Wicked Witch in Sleeping Beauty, with the warts on her nose!

ADORABLE photo of Princess Hope!

LOVE that dress!

(((( Hope ))))

X to you and the gang!

Hi, Dianne! I don't wonder that there would be a *smell* from the pumpkins/fungus? I hope that you are feeling well and moving your things about slowly.

Hope is always lovely and she has a great Nana. :)

Hope is getting so grown-up, isn't she? What a little doll she is!

Princess Hope looks fab.

I rather like odd mushrooms. We used to live in the north of Spain where every autumn they sell wild mushrooms in the village market. Never being sure if they're ALL safe to eat is part of the fun.

Gourds are such odd looking things in the first place. I could see why that would be hard to notice. That reminds me. I had better take a look at the gourds that I have decorating my office. I should check to see if I have any "science experiments". lol

Meanwhile, that certainly looks like one delighted little girl! It looks like she certainly had a Happy Halloween!

She looks so cute and proud of herself! Love it!

Perhaps the fungus adds medicinal value to the gourds. :)

The fungus is a tad disgusting, but, it does make interesting patterns and colours. Hope is a darling little princess!

Wouldn't it really have been freaky if those fungus covered gourds(?) pumpkins(?) mushrooms(?) had been moving around?

fungus...one of Mother Nature's less beautiful creations.
Your granddaughter, on the other hand, on of Mother Nature's finest creations!!

You can keep the fungi! It's been awhile since I've seen Hope. She is growing up fast and is ever more beautiful. Look at that smile - she's having a great time.

Hope all is well with you!

Note I've gone to my given name, Lowell, and dropped my pen name, Jacob.

Princess Hope is adorable. But aren't those gourds or squashes or something? Or are you saying that the white splotches are fungus growing on theM? Weird for sure.
