Trees Sweep the Sky

Contrails are so pretty that it's hard to believe they appear from the exhaust of a jet plane.

I saw a contrails show in the sky earlier this month through the trees in my backyard and was immediately reminded of how hard these dear, strong, selfless trees work to keep the air clean.

Beautiful skies and the contrails are lovely -- if you don't stop to think about where they come from and what they mean to the environment, as you've written. Great captures! I do love the bare, black trees silhouetted against the skies! Hope your week is off to a good start, Dianne! Hugs to Hope!

The pictures tell the story. So many contrails, but the blue sky and the trees are doing their part. So are you, with the pictures...

Love them all. Especially the last two of the contrails viewed through the tree branches and wires!

VERY nice, dear lady!

X ya!

I think that I shall never see a poem as lovely as a tree..... Especially against a blue patterned sky.

And I see the wires running by the trees. Brings back the good ol' days at the phone company.

Aren't they a wonder?

The lungs of the earth have to work mighty hard in some areas. Contrails are pretty, though.

Yes..our precious trees do such a great job..It would be nice if we stopped cutting them down..I saw a contrail and went to look it up which took me to a web site full of conspiracy theories of which the contrails are part of...wacky.. Thank you for linking up to Nature Notes Dianne...I appreciate it..Michelle

I really love seeing trees at that stage. Their gracefulness really shows. And you are right to remind us about how important they are.

I always liked watching the contrails as a kid. I remember lying on my back watching one be drawn across the blue summer sky.

Great photos, you are right about the contrails, they are somewhat incongruous in their beauty,
